I decided to switch to three blade snuffers for this fall. Any advice on BH targets?
Thanks

rinoheart 18-1

big bull elk makes a nice tasty target too. :readit: :biglaugh: :archer2:

Snuffers are particularly tough on targets, Rinehart is what I use.

I usually get an "el-cheapo" foam target from wally world every year. Just keep shooting and patching (tarps/ductape) and drop into a dumpster at the end of the year. Try to avoid the "stuffed bag" types as the snuffers tend to snag on the stuffing and you spend more time fighting you arrows out than shooting.

Rhinehart 18-1 is by far the best BH target I've ever used!
-
Get a cheap layered one and shoot it to death.
-
I second the Rhineharts, I like the new block target he has out, and the kids like shooting at the sides with vitals

Rinehart's are the best. I've used snuffers on one for years. I think the block is better than the 18:1.

Ton of mason sand. Will last the rest of your life

used 3-d targets for me. Right now is a bighorn sheep.

On my three blades I modified the rear part of the blades with a file. They pull out easy and don't take half your target. I got the idea from Terry Green. It will make what ever target you go with last longer.

cheap foam block from wally world.toss it after your arrows are tuned and a whole lot cheaper than the other targets.i have a glen-del full rut deer but he's designated to fieldpoints only.

Rhinoblock is a good one.

Why spend a ton of money on a target, and then butcher it up. Straw bails.. works like a charm!! JMHO!! Jason

Thanks for the replies. I like the hay bail and sand ideas, but need to load the target into a truck....
I think I will check out the cheapo ones a Wmart.
