As always, Trad Gang sponsors are allowed to promote their products and services and offer peeks at new gear and special sales.
Thank You! :wavey:

Up, Up, Up for ya Rob
Does this include sponsors?

generally, no - they've always been allowed to promote their products and services and offer peeks at new gear and special sales.
This how I view somebody (and their product) who is not a sponsor and advertises without paying their fees:
I expect the same morals, service, and quality when dealing with them, that they showed when subverting the rules and posting their product.
Put bluntly; I will not buy their product, either new or used. I will not use it, even when offered by somebody who has purchased the item.
They have, in essence, created somebody who will never use or speak well of their products.
Just call me old school.

I like your style Walt.
Rob .. maybe you could give us a few examples of these current offenses, without the names of course, because some folks may not know they are doing something they are not suppose to, not because they have not read the rules but because they have not interpreted them as intended.
Sometimes a picture ( example ) is worth a thousand words.

here's just a FEW recent topics - none of them were made in any classifieds forum -
"I picked up some Micro flite arrows yesterday. The shafts are in good shape, the fletching needs replacing. I know nothing about them. Is there a market for them? I bought a lot of arrows just for the Bear Razor heads and Cedar arrows and thought maybe I could offset the cost of the deal selling off the Micro-flites. I also have some Bod-kin broad heads. Any intrest in these type of things or am I just stuck with them?" - next thing ya know, the pm's are flying about buying in on the lot.
"58 beautiful vintage bows with a starting bid of $4999.99 Ya Gotta check this out on e8ay Someone with deep pockets is gonna make out like a bandit, here" -
- all well and good until the talk shifted to actions of joint member buying.
"Spoke with John ********** this morning and he still has several bows left over from Denton, Pa. Bows are - " - doh!!!!
"As a lot of you know i started collecting Bear bows last year and bought around 30 bows. I have decided i like buying custom bows a lot better so i need to sell around 10 Bear bows to fund these custom jobs. All these bows are cream of the crop so if anyone is interested shoot me a PM."
and last, but not least, not to mention any bowyer shilling his wares on trad gang and never ever once paying for all the resulting advertising and sales garnered via the trad gang membership,
Hey Walt!!! You're old school.... how was that? :D
thanks Rob ....
I appreciate the clarification. I'm not a retailer, wholesaler, bowyer, etc. However, sometimes (like just a moment ago) someone will read a post and then ask in a reply about where they can find out more about something, such as a broadhead. I simply lookeded up the website and posted the url.
Of course one of the most common threads on this terrific site are those that ask what kind of bow you shoot. My favorite threads are those when someone receives a new bow and shares pictures. I've bought five bows this year based upon those types of posts from fellow archers.
In fact, I'm trying to ignore any threads about bows that I don't have because I need to stop this one-way flow of cash out of my house!
Thanks
Thanks Rob!
Yeah, I did sorta the same thing as Bowwild. There was a post asking people for updates on bows left over from Denton Hill. I had just talked to to one of the bowyers and new that he had a couple left over, so I posted it. I forgot that he wasn't a sponsor. I didn't put any prices down, though? Sorry for the inconvenience.
TTT for Walt's philosphy. I agree.

I hear you Rob. After reading the examples above and the "old" thread when the rules about classifieds were changed I have a new appreciation for what a pain in the posterior moderating must be sometimes!
Thank you all for what you do.
