nice bracer mudd.looks good on you.little on the stiff side but it will break in.thought it would go with your robin hood outfit.
Making your own is a simple and easy project. Here's one of mine made of bison and designed to include a knife gift from a close uncle. (bow is a classic...the 1964 Kodiak).

I don't wear one unless my clothes are long sleeved. I ran a Neet 4 slot for years. Now they make a 3 rod less material model and it has some funky fastener deal. I much preferred the old "panel" 4 slot model with velcro.

Belongs to someone else now, but I made it. Don't sell 'em, just make them as gifts or trade stock.

WoW that is GREAT!!!
I love the knife built in Froggy and Blackhawk. Does it get in the way though?

I want one with a knife so bad. Beautiful stuff.
I agree with kbetts ....awesome
For the ones that has used both. do you like the one button fastner or the ones with three?
Those are good looking! where do you get one with a kinfe?
I have used both. I prefer the one button for ease of use, and found no difference between the protection.
The one button is easier to adjust for clothing thickness. I do need to take a bit more care in putting it on as it is easy to get too much tension on one side of the elastic, which can make the guard sit crooked on the arm.

Here is my favorite:

Magnus.
My brother in law Scott does leather work as well as Taxidermy in Cody, Wy and made a replica of the first armguard on the page for me: I love it and he did an excellent job on it...

Made this one a little longer to keep clothing back in cold weather hunts. (http://i981.photobucket.com/albums/ae298/bfreese_2010/140-1.jpg)
made these for a couple of young archers.

Since the bowstring doesn't hit my arm upon arrow release with either of my two Blacktail TD recurves, I don't wear an arm guard.
Where do you guys get your shock cord from? Can't seem to find any in the local hardware stores or craft shops here.
They sell shock stretch cord at KK and 3Rivers.

How thick is the leather on the custom ones? I'm going to be running trad along side my wheely bow shooting next year and a guard with a knife on it would make the perfect winter project.
I've got quite a bit of 4mm thick hide here from my sheath making days.

That's my armguard hanging on the tree in the photo.

"Froggy" your killing me. I lost a Tim Robert's armguard very similar to that this past season. Tough to beat Tim's work. Glad he decided to get back into the business. I understand that he has teamed up with "stickshooter" on the knife/ armguard combination. As most know, "robtattoo" was Tim's knife provider until Rob closed up shop and moved to the US. Anyone looking for a good custom armguard should consider Tim's work.
