I have a mamba recurve that I shoot at 64# with 29" arrows.
Chrono says 165 with the Alaska grizzly sticks.
I want to go to the XX75 again and I am wondering what I should go with for arrow selection.
The chart seems way off to me at 2219

I'm thinking that 2219 will be too stiff. I'm thinking more like 2117's. I used to use 2020's on my Bob Lee at 62#'s (dacron string).
Personally, if my recurve is made for FF (a lot of mine are not), I'd use a DF97 flemish. I have not found Dacron to be quieter.
Can you try a few sizes out or do you have to get a full dozen?

I have to commit to whatever I end up with.
I have 2314's in stock and thats it.
Here in Maine...forget about shops!. :)

Whump Sez; What point weight are you thinking about shooting? How long are your arrows? fast-flight string? So 64# + 1" over puts you at about 69lb? If you are going heavy on point weight 160, 180gn then 2219 is not too far off considering your draw is 29 and your bow is center shot or real close to it. By the way a 31" xx75 2219 with uni bushing,5" fletch and insert weighs 482gns, if you want to compare it to a griz by weight. How about giving a little more info . Hunt safe.

Whump Sez: sorry bro- see you are shooting 29" arrows at 64lb. Do you have a fletcher? if you do I can send you a 2117 bare shaft game getter full length and a 2219 31" fletched and you can try them out. Just let me know something.I will check back about 2pm. Hunt safe,.
