Title: any carbon?
Post by: okcaveman on August 09, 2010, 08:08:00 PM
My question is, will any brand carbon shaft work for trad archery, or are there some brands that really shine? If I buy prefletched shafts, will I have to replace the vein with feathers to shoot off the shelf?

I have always enjoyed shooting wood shafts, but am thinking of trying some carbons out. any and all help is appreciated.

Any new carbon shaft will work provided it is the correct spine and tuned to your bow.And yes you will get better flight replacing the vanes with feathers for shooting off the shelf.

I believe that a gratifying part of this journey is making one's own arrows. You should really look into it.  It doesn't cost an arm and a leg to get started.

I intend to do just that eventually, but at the moment it is not a possibility. yet.

We make some really nice yet affordable carbons specifically aimed at a traditional archer's needs.  Priced at $47.99 a half dozen as pictured with FEATHERS.    :D
