What a nice problem to have... Two bows, one season.
I bought a Centaur from Mike (Yellow Dog) the other day. Ostensibly, to replace a backup bow that I'd always had some problems shooting. Never thought I'd find a bow that I could shoot as accurately and just felt as good as my Schafer...
Now I'm torn between which bow to focus on for hunting 2010. The Schafer is soooo smooth and stable. The Centaur is very smooth, quick, and light. Such a joy to pack around after lugging the larger bow.
I think my greatest fear is that if I shoot the Centaur too much, I may get the itch to trade the Schafer for another Centaur...LOL!
Oh well, I'm not complaining too much. Here's a few pics.

Sitting here thinking as I write this, I got the Schafer bloody last year. May be time to give the new girl a chance. It's a fine little pickle to be in. :archer2:
No reason not to use both. Just set them up with matching arrows and use whatever you want.
They call that a Ménage à trois in France.
Happy hunitng.
Michael
Awww I feel sorry for you.... no wait, no I don't. :archer:
Have fun and shoot straight.
join the club buddy! i am just glad you are suffering from the same thing i suffer from! my advice is don't sweat it...shoot 'em both and don't second guess yourself one minute. Enjoy!
Ahhh, to have such choices! Both beauties and top performers. I'd shoot both, especially if you are not noticing a drop in performance when switching.
I feel for you. If it would help you could send me the one you are least comfortable with. Just trying to help.
Alternate between tags filled if you have more than one, if not between days? Nice problem to have!
argh - I am old enough to remember the song...
so shoot the one that sounds the best :)
If stand hunting, it would be the one that shoots best. Now if you plan to hike miles a day then light could be a factor.
I want the same problem, I have two Centaurs and want a Schafer. Let me know how how you make out.
Don't feel like a fool. Feel like a Cassanova and love 'em both.
Brian, that's the first thing that came to mind for me also. Now I got that tune in my head. Yuck!!!!!
BOB
For me there would be choice I would use the Schafer I am a Recurve kind of guy. Widow
Nice thing about this Archery thing we're all so into.Listen to me! this isn't like marriage there is no problem loving two, three or however many bows you have,Do Not,I Repeat Do Not feal guilty take on as many as you can handle! All the best
What a fine problem...
Since they obviously know about each other and neither one has hit the road I say, humm that other tune and "Love the one you're with"!
:goldtooth: :goldtooth: :goldtooth: Another new Centaur fan. I guess there's no need to ask you if you like it!
I can help! Just send me the Centaur and you will never have to see it again!
Not a chance buckeye_hunter!!! :saywhat:
Mike, I likey -- a lot! Thanks! Also, I owe a big "thanks!" to 'pickaspot' for giving me a better tune to have stuck in my head.
Oh, and BTW, don't feel bad if you knew where the title came from. It doesn't mean you're old :campfire:
Curtis,
Did you know that "torn between two lovers" is a constant on "worst songs of all time" lists? LOL
Now that awful song is stuck in my head! LOL
Thanks a lot. ;) :D
Now I'll have to think of some awful Barry Manilow or Abba song to cleanse my brain of "torn between two lovers". LOL
Curtis, you can send me the Schafer then you won't be torn, thanks for sticking that song in my head. :banghead: :banghead: :banghead: :banghead:
I would use the Centaur longbow. that other bow is broken the anyway the limbs are bent on the ends. :biglaugh:
Tough problem. Either way you win! On days where a few extra pounds matter, I would take the Centaur, then when you feel like the you won't break a sweat getting to that stand lugging that extra pound, I would take the Schafer.
Either way, when you make your decision and want to sell one or the other, call me!
