Bill Turner did me a good so I offered to build him one of my hats but before I committed to it I asked if he was man enough to waer it out in public to which he replied he was.... we'll see...lol
Bill told me he had a large hat size( I didn't say big head)..lol Anyway I tried to visualize where the lines would fall outside my pattern and this is how that worked out.
The hat is a little large on me but Bill can make the final adjustments so it will be "his" own hat.
This is my second attempt at taking self photos, so don't be drinking anything when you look at these....lol

does it mess with your vision any when your trying to really focus in on somthing while you shoot
great hat robin hood lol.is your buddy gonna wear it?
I can't decide if you are a better hat builder or photographer.
Reminds me of me trying to read this post through bifocals. lol
nice hat Mudd
I think it might be the subject thats the problem
Try a photo of the hat turned the other way, see what that does>

  Now that's funny, I don't care who you are.
That has to be the worst looking hat i have ever seen on a man's head.
I still like reading your post despite the hat.

Thank you! You do realize that the hat is incomplete without a feather to make it stand out..lol
Some of you guys are really kind....lol the rest are apparently truthful... hahaha!!
It in no way interferes with shooting. Of course the way I shoot I'm not sure you could tell the difference..lol
God bless,Mudd
i was wondering where the feather was.i'll send you a couple turkey feathers for your hat projects.btw is that the same style hat thats in your member photo?
Yep, just a different color and no feather!
Thanks!
God bless,Mudd
It takes a real man to wear a hat like that!
Send it to me!
Well Mudd, you've gone and done it now.....Can't believe that you made this hat for Bill. Oh, he'll wear it alright. Geez, anybody that will carry a man purse on a hunting trip will most definitely wear that hat, and carry his man purse with it. My problem is that he's usually with ME when he does this stuff. I'm embarrassed as all git-out to be seen with him. Well, this year he'll have to drive his own self to Oklahoma, 'cause he ain't gettin' now where's near my F150 with that! The colors of the hat and his purse are gonna clash too. You're probably gonna put some pink flamingo feathers on it too.
Think I'll box up Bill, his purse and that hat and send them all three back up to Missouri, 'cause y'all gotta be showed.
Gives a whole new meaning to the term " Robin and his Merry Men".
Ric,
You have got to work on your sensitivity.
It is not a purse! It is a "European Carry All" or a "Murse" (Man-Purse).
Matt -
I thought I was sensitive....... :saywhat: I've been to several classes on the subject. Maybe they didn't take.
With a little more facial hair, Bill and Mudd would have a certain family resemblance.
Mudd, on second thought, send Bill that hat. I gotta post some pictures of this........

Ric,
My son calls my Kilt a Man-Skirt.
Matt
Nice hat, but what if it rains? I afraid of what might happen if you were standing in front of Bill, a little too close, when that stream of hits you down the front. :biglaugh: :dunno:
  that is way to funny Mudd
I tell ya Mudd ,Its people like you that make this site really what it is.The greatest place on earth and what our little world on here is all about .Would really like to share a camp with so many on here, would be an absolute Hoot!LOL.
Good time's Mudd. I like the hat but I might stick with my ugly buckets.

Agreed! I too believe Mudd to be a helluva guy to be around!
Difference is, I kinda like the hat.. ;) And man-skirts, and I don't mind murses either.
Whatever floats your boat, thats what I say.
Wahoo! We are in for some fun now!
After owning this camera for years I just found out how to work the self-timer on it. Or I should say, maybe I've figured out how to work the self-timer?
Once the sun comes up, I'll find out!!!!
God bless,Mudd
Mudd that's to funny!!!!!
Sun's up!
I gotta see what Mudd has learned.
Good job Mudd!
Mudd perhaps a chin strap would make that hat a little less girlie?
Thanks for sharing :smileystooges: :biglaugh:
Yahoo! It worked but now I have new photographer lessons to learn.
I could also use some shooting lessons!!!..lol
Thanks for looking and the kind comments.
God bless,Mudd

Doin' Good!
Ya' need to send Bill THAT hat.
I plan on it, just waiting for him to get back to me with a shipping address.
He has to take it, I made it especially for what he calls "His" big head so everyone is clear its' not me that's saying he has a big head, it's Bill himself.
He told me he'd wear it but maybe he's having second thoughts after actually seeing what it looks like..lol
God bless,Mudd
Well, I've noticed that Bill has specifically steered clear of this thread..maybe he is laying low so as not to attract too much attention to either himself, the hat or the fact that he carries a purse around. :biglaugh:
Sorry Mudd. Been off the computer the last couple of days. Busy painting my shed and doing a little gutter repair. As for "the hat" I can't wait. Ric O'Shay will be wanting one of his own before long. Soon as I kill something while wearing "the hat" he'll be asking to borrow it. Who knows I might have to get a kilt to finish off my ensemble.
Mudd...when you wear that hat, do you have a strange desire to start speaking with an "English" accent???? (unlike Kevin Costner!).Tally Ho men!!!....nice job....cheers....john
It is okay to mix the costumes, but Robin Hood wore the boots, tights, vest, shirt and wide belt. The official attire Matt is wearing, could use the loose fitting beret with tam of the same material as the kilt.
I hunt with bill in Oklahoma. Yes he will wear that hat and yes we will give a hard time. Love ya Bill. Wait till Sabas see's you in that purty hat.
Now come on Mike(stick-um) you guys wouldn't give a guy a hard time. Would ya? As for Sabas, he has been so busy since his retirement(?) I don't think he'll ever hunt again. Would do my heart good to see him in the Oklahoma outback. Just got word from Mudd, "Hats on its way to Ovilla". Now if I can only come up with a feather. Hm! :jumper:
bill the feathers will be on the way soon.i'm gonna send one to mudd for his hat to.this site is starting to get fun!i think we all need a hat like that.sort of like a brotherhood thing lol.
OMG :help:
Y'all 'ain't gettin any-where's near my truck.
