You forgot feral hog 24/7/365.
Welcome to Texas! What CA desert region are you moving from? If it's the Imperial Valley region, then the recent 107 degree weather we're having will make you feel right at home!
As a misplaced Texan currently in California, I say you are a lucky man! I have realtives all over that part of TX. My wife and I miss TX a lot, but hate to give up the mountains in Northern Calif. Had to learn to make my own pit BBQ and finally got some stores to carry Big Red! Good luck -- beautiful country.
Great if you don't have to pay lease fees to hunt. Good luck and have a safe trip.
We'll miss you big guy! Good luck.
Mark drop us a line when you get settled! Your only about hour & half (maybe) to our SW!
Mark, with those hills, spring-fed rivers and more deer than people, you are headed to one of the most beautiful parts of TX. Many of us Texans when asked what our favorite part of TX is will answer, "Well, first off ... right here where I'm at, but if I can't be here, then put me in the Hill Country." You are in for a treat, and welcome to the Lone Star State. John
:wavey:
Welcome to Texas!!!!
If you don't have room for all those footed shafts you make, I do!
Good luck and have a safe trip
have a safe trip buddy.
Fredricksburg is a great place. I'm jealous!
Grew up hunting 20 minutes from there. I love that area, maybe the prettiest in TX. If you don't have enough hogs there I'll trade you a hunt up in north TX for one down there! Keep an eye out for free range exotics. Enjoy TX
Just got home from Texas yesterday. Job didn't work out. Love the state and the people. I'll be back sometime to hunt.
All Moved in and Lovin it........ The deer look great and the ranch is growing fast.
DD, Glad to hear Your a Texan now... So what is Your place just a ranch or are You going to have as a hunting ranch? If you have any room for any Tradgang members to help with Your deer or hogs... Please let me know.
Our loss is Texas' gain. We'll miss you buddy. I will definitely come down to hunt.
You are now living in one of the most deer plentiful places in the world. It is awesome country down there in the the deep hill country.
Wait till the Hill Country dresses up for spring! You will be blessed!!!!!!!!!!!!!
