Got my ghillie suit the other day, was wondering if any of you guys have any pics of your suits in action...
Just like to see some examples of other setups so maybe I can apply them to mine
Let me try this, I haven't used photobucket for a while...

Those are cool!!! I can see where the face paint or a mask is needed... keep em coming guys!!!!!
Now lets add some animals taken while wearing ghillies!
Very cool John. That seated pic is awesome.
If you squint and look at it you totally blend into the background.
I may have to get one of those suits.
Only one I have. :bigsmyl:

Here are a couple of mine in the back yard. While my wife was taking the first one, our two lab puppies (20 months) were looking toward me/watching my wife and could smell me. However right after the picture when I moved, man they jumped, barked, and obviously had not seen me.
I have not hunted with it yet, but that experience told me it is a great tool.

Here's one of my son...

... but I like this one better. It was obviously windy and we were en route to our site...

Is that Dylan or Chewy?
Hum... the only one I have (used for photo hunting :D )

First thing that I saw was the hands, are animals going to notice that?
Cool pics guys, keep em coming.
For a little added treat, type "ghillie" into the search bar on youtube.... they got some cool vids in there
Boff, great suit, but do all those ornaments rattle and clang when you walk?
Chester,
Your right, the hands and face stick out like lights! I always wear camo paint on my face and paint or camo gloves on my hands...
John
Awesome pics!
Just be careful guys - look at the pictures and pretend your the jury in the case of the berry picker that shot bigfoot !! :scared: :dunno:
I started to reply to this thread, but figured a new post would be of better use for ghillie suits...
Ghillie suit primer (http://tradgang.com/noncgi/ultimatebb.php?ubb=get_topic;f=1;t=092013)
It should be a discussion, I am no expert, but have been using one for a while and consulted a very well respected sniper along with a couple more military and LEO snipers when deciding to make a ghillie....
I hope it helps

It seems all those dangly threads would catch your bow strings, do you cut them short on your bow arm?

Yep, just on the inside part of the arm.
How are they to shoot in?
I put on a dark colored sock with the end cut out over my bow arm then my arm guard over it.
God bless,Mudd
Good photos Mudd, but looks like you need to stay home a couple days and rehang the back door and maybe a coat of paint on the house. :biglaugh:

My wife accepted the fact years ago that I am a "hunter gatherer" and not a "fixer upper" so leave me alone!...lol
God bless,Mudd
PS: that isn't my house in the picture either...lol

Only when I draw. I felt bad for the poor little deer not being able to see me, I wanted to give them a chance. :bigsmyl:

HaHa!!
Sorry Buddy,
The only suggestion I have is to buy/cut her a new tree, or buy/make yourself another ghillie suit.
God Bless,
David B.

Most days it's too hard to tell the difference (ghillie suit optional).
