What glue would you all recommend for my shelf material without messing up the finish on my bow ?
Thanks for the recommendations in advance.
I just buy sticky back velcro from walmart or the local craft store. Cheap and the adhesive is already on it. I think most use Barge for glue on type rests/strikeplates if I'm not mistaken.
I typically use contact cement. Once you're ready to remove it you just rub it back and forth with your finger til its gone.
I second contact cement!
I 3rd it!
I use Barge cement,I do some leather work and it works great for both!
Barge cement work good, will not mess up finish.
I use Barge cement for gluing on rests and side plate.
Another vote for plain old contact cement.
Just put a rest and side plate on my daughter's little bow tonight with it.
Barge cement and contact cement or rubber cement work well, but none come off easier than a double sided tape, also available in most craft departments. Get the really thin, tacky kind.
I use Barge cement. I have used rubber cement and it works also, and it is very easy to remove the residue.

I use 2 sided carpet tape.
I use Barge cement best I have found.
I've found Shoe Goo to work better than Barge glue. I get Shoe Goo at the big box store (W**Mart). Shoe Goo holds more securely than Barge glue.

Never had a problem with the Barge Cement, used it on leather, and seal skin.
Weldwood contact cement
Another vote for barge cement.
Appreciate all the input. Next question is...what is y'alls favorite shelf material ?
Thanks for the help.
Rubber cement. Follow the instructions to the letter. Rubs right of with no damage to the bow or the shelf material if you mess up dring application.
I like using the fuzzy side of velcro for the bottom, wears like iron.....
ppreciate it.
Where can you find Barge cement ?
I've never found Barge cement, but Weldwood contact cement is at nearly every hardware store and many of the big chain grocery stores.
The "permanent" outdoor carpet tape works well too, but I prefer the contact cement
