Post by: bucksdown on August 04, 2010, 08:25:00 AM
good morning guys. i debated over buying a bear kodiak, i noticed they have a brush type rest. would they shoot good off the shelf, and three fingers under?

I shoot most of my old ones off the shelf.  The '62 has a Trap feather rest.  I shoot split and they are very quiet.  Not so 3 under.

I have an older Grizzly, & a new SuperK, I shoot both off the shelf & have great results. I shoot split fingers though.

They wouldn't be around for so long if they weren't one of the greatest bows ever built.  Shoot it split, 3 under or walk the string it's a great bow.

I shoot off the shelf and 3 under with all my vintage bears.

While I am personally with OldSkoolArcher (except I shoot the 1959-1960's I own with a feather rest).  I would also tend to believe VA Bowbender is correct.

Buy it, shoot it, love it.
