I need help on choosing what aluminum arrow will work out of my setup. I shoot a 58" recurve 47lbs@28. i shoot three fingers under. I draw 28". I would like to use a 125grain or 150 grain broadhead. What size aluminum arrow would shoot good out of this bow. Any help would be appreciated thanks brad
1916
2013 or 2016, especially with 150 grain heads or heavier.

I shoot a 47#, 62" recurve 28". 2016's fly great with 145 grain field points. I do shoot split finger though.

Another vote for the 2016 with a 150 grain broadhead.
2016's would be my choice too. I shoot them out of a number of bows I have that are right around there in draw weight.
thanks guys I'll give the 2016 a try, I'll let you know the results thanks brad
I like a little heavier arrow so I shoot 2018's. It also helps quiet
the bow a little more than the lighter shaft.
2016s will fly out of every single bow I own, recurve or longbow from 45-58# at least. Great arrow shaft.
1916's or 2016's. Depends on how long they are and the weight of the point.
I shoot 47@27 from a 60" recurve and use
a 2016 with a 125gr. :archer2:
I would think 2016 or 2018 would work well.
One more vote not that it counts, however 2016's will fly perfect with 150 out front.
Cut em about 30" for a start point. Play with the brace height a bit and you will have a fine flying arrow.
This assumes a center cut shelf and FF string.
I get good results with 2016's.My bow is a 50# recurve and I use 145 gr.points.
I like the 1918's but are very hard to find so another vote for the 2016's.
1916 and 2016 both shoot good out of my 48lb. longbows. 29 3/4" draw and 30 1/2" shafts and 150 gr. point
I would recommend the 1916. I err on the weak side more than the stiff side in general. The reason being, you can always add material to the strike plate area above the shelf to get an arrow to act stiffer, or cut the arrow shorter. You can't do that with an arrow that's too stiff. All you can do is add weight to the front of an arrow that's too stiff, which sometimes is more difficult. But, adding more weight to the front CAN help with a higher FOC balance, which is also more desirable. Either way, I believe you can make both the 1916 and the 2016 work for you, one way or another.
Yep 2016s are a great arrow for anything 46 to 54 lbs . Once I get to 55 lbs I think 2018s are a better fit .

My 47lb. recurve tunes perfectly with 2016s at 28 inches. Point weight is 145.
I'm shooting 48# @ 29" draw with 2016's and 150gr tips. I like the 2016's they are tough and durable for me.
You may want to try them if they will work with your set up.
thanks guys for all your help
