hey guys where can i find weighted inserts for 2018 alum arrows.
does 3 rivers have them?
I believe 3Rivers carries the 100 gr. brass inserts for 2018 and a few other sizes.
They don't have them for 2018 but they do have them for 2016 which are just a hair bigger in diameter.
You can modify the 2016 by screwing in a field point,then chuck the field point in a drill or better,a drill press.Run a mill file across the body of the insert while it spins.I use a small cutoff piece of shaft to occasionally check my progress.It takes about a minute and they only lose a few grains,about 5 or 6 I think.
They are nice inserts if you don't mind doing that little bit of work.
