Title: IT SHOULD BE AGAINST THE LAW
Post by: Arkansaslongbow on July 26, 2010, 07:59:00 AM: Just got the 2010 Black Widow fall catalog and seen all those pretty bows; caught myself wanting a new bow and there should be a law against these companies sending those "I want one of those" catalogs to a bowhunters home.... :help: ;

Am I the only one that has trouble wanting a new bow all the time? I may need some professional help;...... :campfire:

So I hit Kalamazoo and Compton's and cruise the bow racks. If you think it's tough seeing them in a catalog, try resisting when you can handle and shoot them!

The Iceman Otzi had what they believed to be a "new bow in progress" on his person when they thawed him out of the ice.

This malady has plagued mankind for centuries. Too bad the internet hadn't been invented back then they could've found better bows faster..lol

He just traded for one that i would really like to own and said i could have it for $9,000 dollars.

I started doing some math and in the last 16 months i have bought enough bows that would nearly pay for that Harley.

I think im going to lay off bow buying for a while because i sure would like one of those Harleys.

How I ended up buying my new PLX Tulipwood. Saw the bows with this lam. on them and had to have one.

Lucky for me I had shoulder surgery and was forced to sell some bows. I am down to 1 Mikuta TD recurve, 1 Morrison ILF LB, 1 Morrison TD LB, and 2 Lost Creek longbows of which one I bought new in May of this year & killed my first trad turkey the last day of the season. Thibking about a LC recurve. Sorry honey....

But danged if those catalogs don't make it to my house and get me thinking I should get one of the TD widder recurves in a mid-high 50's weight; Just in case I need to go hunting where I must fly... Maybe two sets of limbs fer whitetail and one for big game!!!

Mudd sure hit the nail on the head with his observation about ole' Iceman Otzi. Yep, poor Otzi was likely passing through a nice stand of yew trees daydreaming about cutting a stave, getting perfect tiller, rubbing on a beautiful finish, etc. when those other guys sneaked up and got the jump on him! :archer:
