The St Judes Auction had a heck of a deal go through on a Gator hunt in Florida!

We have a draw system inplace here in SC, could take you up to 3 years to draw a tag.

Prairie Drifter,
Where are you planning on going? If your thinking about Florida I can give you a few different outfits to contact but gator hunts are not inexpensive when using an outfitter/Guide. In Florida they have to be hunted at night. Other states allow daytime hunts. But IMO the night hunts are a lot more exciting.

If your thinking of Florida let me know and I'll post some contacts.

My son and I have both hunted gators with Osceola Outfitters out of St. Cloud, FL.  Great trip.  $100.00 per foot for a management hunt, or #3K for a trophy over 9'. That would include hog hunting too.

Give him a call.  All things considered I felt the cost of the management hunt was very reasonable.

We're offering gator hunts at Hog Heaven.

You need to apply to SC for the tag drawing in the late Spring...results offered in early July (I got a preference point this year) and we don't charge by the foot.

It's a set fee for the three night hunt...and you can hunt hogs while you're there...

Yes Texas has I think 5 venues that offer gator hunts.  You can only apply for one of those venues thru the draw (pick one of the 5 and apply). If you are going to apply for this hunt you'd need to do it soon.  The draw app must be rec'd by Tx Parks & Wildlife by Aug 5. Let me know if you need a copy of the app.

Personally I've never been interested in a gator hunt. There are other hunts I'd rather do during that time period (sept). Also its UT football season so lots of time spent partying/drinking/chasing in Austin.

The cost of the Tx hunt is I think $80 or $130 depending on the venue (only paid if you get chosen).
And I think $3 to enter into the draw.

You must find your own boat or find a redneck for hire with a boat (we use the term redneck as a term of endearment down here so dont get your feathers ruffled)

Good luck
