Post by: B-DOG on January 09, 2007, 09:23:00 AM
just got through shooting an arrow i fletched with turkey feathers. i like the way it shot. i stripped them and shaped wthem with sicisors. was thinking about getting a feather chopper. is there anything else i should need? do the shoppers work ok? anyone cut there own. i've usually got a endless supply of feathers when the season comes in.

I've heard good things of the vario chopper.

The Vario is an excellent chopper.  Costs a good bit more than a Lil Chopper, but well worth it in my opinion.  Not sure how well a chopper will work with stripped feathers--I get mine ground.

A chopper works o.k. with stripped feathers. Just takes a little longer to get things lined up.
