I have 4 of them and always keep an eye out for more. The flatbows are good, but the Middle Mountain longbow is my favorite. Good luck with your hunt, they come up for sale every so often if you're patient.

Dave was a good guy and bowyer. Know alot of folks from here in Indiana who had his bows. He always came to Cloverdale. Shot one of his 64" longbows that fit like a glove and shot even better!

If they got one, they ain't selling 'em.

Yeah, Dave is a nice guy. I attended one of his bow building classes back in 1993 and liked him a lot. I believe he quit bowyery shortly after that.

Have heard he was into Harleys now.

We were driving into Douglass one day to take an antelope to the meat shop. He had the radio so loud you had to shout to say anything. I told him to turn it down. He just smiled and said,
"Dang Biggie, If it's not loud it's not rock and roll!!!"

I had the pleasure to spend a weekend at Dave's house in Ripley WV back in the mid 90's. He and his wife are stand up folks. Hope he's doing good. Don

I talked to him a few months ago to confirm one of his early  62" flatbows I bought. 72#@28. My first and only longbow. NFS ( I do have a few recurves that I don't even want to pick up anymore that I would be willing to part with.) When I talked with him he said he was in school trying to finish his degree in nursing.

Dave no longer makes bows , he was a Union Rep at the Aluminum plant for a few years. I hear he is in nursing school, hope I don't go to the hospital he works at  :)

He made quite a few nice bows wish I could find one of his flatbows around 50# LH .

Jack

52 bow, that one piece '50s style recurve is a sweet shooter. I have one that's 58" 62@28 that shoots as goos as any recurve I've tried. I especially like the static tips.

Naw, better keep it for now. It took me two years to find the right one. I'm still looking for a Little Laurel and a Savage River T/D to complete the set, but when I got's the $$, they're nowhere to be found.
