i tried to search here and didnt really find alot, and I do remember even askin this a while back.. . but anyway its bumpin 100 here in Arkansas with the usual high humidity, so its hot.I work in it daily and one would think sittin the a/c on the weekends would be alot smarter, but im not known for being smart.. But I am dyin to hunt, is there any issue killin hogs in this kinda heat other than getting them on ice quickly? i can have a ice chest fairly available and plan to gut and ice within a hour.. IF I actually kill anything.. is this ok?? any issues i need to be aware of ?? thanks alot Dave
No problems for me. I want mine iced within an hour if humanly possible.
Shouldn't be a problem, They are being killed and eaten all summer long down here in south Arkansas. I've not heard of any problems.
sounds good thanks
look out for the ticks and fleas
There's this bar right down the road from where I work... Oh! Nevermind! Thought ya said "pigs-in-heat".
... mike ... ;) ...
ticks and fleas are thick here.. thanks
I read the title and thought maybe you were talking about a product like doe in heat..lol
God bless,Mudd
Hogs down here have ticks fleas and lice all year and probably everywhere else.Like Marty said get them on ice in an hour or so and your good.
I always carry a meat sack when I hunt and field quarter the critter where it falls. In the summer I use a mesh type "bookbag" and a pillow case instead of normal plastic bags.RC
Good one Mike
Sounds like you are prepared. We have the same heat issue here in CA cut up the meat or it won't cool.
