Actually this is also my first "new" bow. I shot recurves exclusively until I felt a longbow. No way I can get a recurve as silent as my longbow. I can't see how I've given up any performance either. I know everyone thinks their bow is "quick", but I asure you this one is.

That Parson's guy is all right. Mighty fine bowyer and a lights out shooter. You sure got yourself a fine, fine longbow there. Congrats.
Good looking bow
Sweet bow!!!
Very nice bow...classic lines. :clapper:
Nice woods, looks like a real workhorse of a bow. :archer2:
I always warn my recurve shooting friends that they shouldn't put their hands on one of my longbows unless they are prepared to make a switch..lol
Just ask Butch Speer..lol He was a dyed in the wool recurve man until he shot a longbow.
Yours is a real looker. Thanks for sharing.
God bless,Mudd
Wow! That's a fine looking bow, Congrats! :notworthy:
Shoot it in good health. Nice looking bow

Thanks for all the kind words. A real workhorse no doubt as its built like a tank. I had hesitations about the squared off grip. Much sharper towards the front of the bow. I found that I like it. Its much smaller than most of Tom's risers but it works for me. Main thing I've learned is to stick to one bow for awhile and develope my skills.
Ammunition is down to Surewoods and 55/75 Gold Tips. I've been using some 2018's thrown in. Shot a sparrow at 17 yards last weekend with a 2018.
Welcome to the world of longbows! Congratulations my friend on a fine stick. :clapper:
