Hey guys,
I mentioned I ordered a new bow from Horne's called the flint quest. Mark and Sandy make it for Scott Anderson of "Backland Country". Well I've started watching his show and really like it. It's airing again tonight and will be featuring Curtis Kellar. I know many of you have had the chance to go out and hunt with him. I haven't yet but he's been kind enough to email with me about hog hunting and various other topics. I'm excited to watch the show and hope y'all get to as well. I believe it's at 9et on CMT but I also know it airs on the pursuit channel.
It is also showing on GAC Saturday at 8am I believe. It looks like the showing for tonight is on the pursuit channel. I can't find the CMT time on my phone. I will update it when I do.
Thanks, I have heard good things so will check it out.
It may only show on GAC now
Here you go, right from their website. My Dad got me watching this show. Last week's episode was unbelievable with all of those wolves.

Description: Scott Anderson meets up with traditional guru Curtis Kellar from 7th Age Bowhunting and his grandson Jacoby for another week on the Flint Quest. Javelina, hogs and a bonus coyote meet up with the longbow. Some say the ultimate is to arrow a coyote with traditional gear, today we call into bow range Wile coyote, longbow range! Hang on - Buckle your seat belts as the traditional action heats up.
Thanks Jason. Loved the show last week too. I got home and checked my DVR. I get it on GAC so it will be on sat morning at 8am et. Mark Horne said he did the show with him and it will air this fall. They go after some nice bucks in TX with flint tips. I'll update when I get the info.
Channel 608 NOW!!!
Right now!
GAC - Great American Country? All they are showing is music. Help me out - I hunted w/Curtis last winter and had a blast! I'd love to see this show you guys are talking about
Great Show.. Can't wait to get out there for My hunt this feb 2011.
Good show, I recognize that sweaky windmill.
6 AM where I'm from.
homebru
I had to go back into work tonight and forgot to set my DVR. I'll catch it Saturday morning, as I'm usually watching the hunting shows at that time. It's like watching Saturday morning cartoons when I was younger...I never missed them! :biglaugh:
It's not on GAC till sat morning. I'm guessing the guys watching it tonight watched it on the pursuit channel. I have to wait till sat as well.
traditional guru? LOL! That's funny!
I don't get the pursuit channel. I hope the show was good. Little did anyone know that the show was shot three weeks after I broke the vertebrates in my back. That was a very painful hunt. Glad to know it is airing, Thanks for the heads-up on the show. I didn't know it was airing.
Great show Curtis, congrats to your grandson.I made you a copy, will get it off to you.
Great show Curtis, great bow Mark. Nice to see all the Trad sponsors and equipment.
One of the best hunting shows I've seen in ages! It was really nice to not see whooping & hollering, high fives & swollen heads.
I did't realise that Jacob was your GRANDson Curtis! Dang man, you old!
It was very well filmed & really nicely portrayed hunting with a longbow. Great to see!
For the rest of us poor souls with GAC we get to check it out tomorrow. Can't wait.
Coming on right now (0600 mt. time) on GAC. Thanks for the headsup.
Dang I just missed it, does anyone know if it will be on again?
I hope HOLLYWOOD doesn't steal Curtis from us! :smileystooges:
Great show, watched it twice. I want to know what happened with the first hog, the white and black one. Can't wait to get out to Cutis' one of these days.
Saw it on GAC this morning. Reed recognized Jakes's hunting spot right away! Really enjoyed the show!
I had to go shoot a tournament this morning, is it coming on again sometime?
Any way us poor souls without the pursuit channel can watch it??
What the heck is GAC?
Just watched it this morning. I was impressed with him(Scott Anderson) from the first time I watched it. I am so glad to see another traditional bowhunting show on. The class that is portrayed in the way they conduct themselves is top notch.
There is nothing wrong with being excited about being successful in the field, some of the shows out there just seem more like they are acting for the camera and not being themselves.
THink it stands for Great American Country...next channel over from CMT on Dish...
I caught it Saturday morning. It was a great show Curtis and I'm hoping to get down there with my Dad one year...it looks like a boatload of fun!
I hope all is well with your back injury. :(
Thank you all for the nice comments. My computer satellite was struck by lightening last Saturday so I've been offline since then.
I thought Scott and Josh did great with all the editing. I'm sure there were a couple of young clients who remember that blind(The Dump). The Dump is reserved for young clients only. The dump was responsible for 4 young hunters getting their first kill with a trad bow last year. That's good stuff!
Thanks again to all of you who've supported 7th Age Bowhunting over the years. You are responsible for our longivity. Your support is appreciated. See you guys in camp. :campfire:
Any way those of us who missed it could see it now?
