Looking for traditional archers in/around the upstate area of SC.
I'm in north Greenville County. In the Tigerville area. Where are you?
Carolina Traditional Archers is in North Carolina, but it's not too far from upstate SC (range in Maiden which is near Lincolnton). We have a Club Shoot the second Saturday of the month. www.thecta.org (http://www.thecta.org) is our website.
I'm in Greer. Hey looper, we are neighbors, I live near Blue Ridge High School.
I graduated from Blue Ridge in 1988.
Let's get together and shoot some time.
Hey guys I live in Antreville we need to get together and shoot sometime. I could use some instructions as I'm fairly new to traditional archery and was looking for someone to show me the ropes.
The Keowee Bowmen used to be in your neck of the woods....and a few others.
Seen that you said you lived in antreville.I live in level land.Heck, we probably have passed each other on the road. I've got a couple of trad. bows, maybe we can shoot sometime.

I just shot a 3D tournament today with REM who posted above.
Look forward to hearing from you,
Rod
Rod, I used to camp some at Calhoun Falls state park. Hunted around that area before they built the lake. You are right in the middle of gods country. Beautiful area.
I am in Simpsonville
Mike
Lake Russell is nice but I do miss the Savannah River and Rocky River bottoms I used to hunt before they built the lake. The hunting is still good but like many other towns it's hurting since almost all the textiles mills have closed.
I still cherish those Saturday mornings sitting around the check stations waiting for the hunters to come by with their deer and their stories...and it was even sweeter when I had my own story to tell!
I think those check stations brought more new hunters to the sport than any other reason. I wish the DNR wouldn't have stopped checking 'em.
Rod, I remember those days. We use to ride up to the check station just to see what came in.
Thanks guys for all the replies. Talked to Greg h and hoping to get to shoot some tonight. Greg just lives a couple of miles from me. Rod looking forward to getting in touch with you and maybe do some shooting.
