Title: Northwest Archery
Post by: Jason Hansen on July 21, 2010, 06:37:00 PM
I'm looking to purchase a couple dozen of quality POC or Sitka Spruce arrows for my new Great Northern Ghost.  I saw an advertisement in TBM for Northwest Archery, who makes custom wood arrows.  I spoke to Suzanne St. Charles and she was very knowledgable, helpful, and nice.  Before I make my purchase, I was curious to see if there were any other tradgangers out there that have purchased arrows from her.  Any insight would be helpful...

OH yeah, Suzanne is tops.

When Glenn and family owned/operated the NW Archery store near Seattle, she did all their customs arrows.  I have a few dozen of her woodies and they are great.

She donates a dozen each year to our state club for auction, and the bidding gets heated (especially since some are autographed by Glenn).

You will not be sorry dealing with her.

p.s.  Ask her to have Glenn sign a couple if you decide to buy.  He's 99, but can still write.

Thanks Lon, that is exactly what I thought just from my instincts with speaking to her!  :)   Plus, working in her Dad's store for all those years speaks for itself.

That was going to be one of the questions I asked her when I placed my order.  I was hoping she would have him sign at least one.  If that's the case, then that "one" will be added to the bookshelf in my office.  We talked about her Dad and she ended up giving me his phone number.  She said that her Dad loves talking to bowhunters...

She puts a lot care into arrows, and you can't go wrong. I still have some she made years ago.

Thanks so much for everyone's comments.  I figured this would be what I'd read, but I had to check with my fellow archers.

I'll be calling her next week to place an order for a couple dozen custom deluxe arrows.  I think I'll have to ask for a dozen of those spiral-wrapped flu-flus for Christmas!    :archer:

Just like everyone says, you won't find better quality, service or just plain good people any where.

I ordered arrows for my self bow, from Suzanne, and when she took my address she said, "You're not far from here, why don't you meet me half way, at the post office, and save the postage."

Her workmanship is top notch and the customer service is excellent!
