Hi gang,
just wanted to let you know what a great guy Abe is. Since I ordeded a Peregrine without ever having seen or shot one (I live in The Netherlands), I had tons of questions before ordering. I am sure I drove Abe mad sometimes, sorry Abe, you can hit me if you like! :knothead:
But Mr Penner never was to tired or bored to answer all my questions. Later on, when the bow was ordered I found out how much details, customer satisfaction and pride he puts in his bows. It starts with working from your handcircumference, then the heel-hight and then the circumference of the thinnest part of the throath of the riser. And very special attention for the wood too, I got a special wood for my riser, which I liked so much from a pic from Abe's site. In his workshop, he dug the very same piece up which was left and he had spared for a special occasion.... That's what I call a real custom bow! I asked for 45#@29" and that's exactly what Abes scale is showing.... :bigsmyl:
Very Cool, I'm looking forward to the pictures of your new bow.
I will be talking to Abe next weekend at the ATBA Jamboree, and will watch this thread to pass on anything you post.
He definately makes some fine bows. Keep us posted and take some photos of your bow when it arrives. I am confident you will be quite happy with it from the first arrow you shoot .
The 2 review bows I have of Abes will be with me at the Jamboree for those that want to shoot one.
Pete
Yep, Abe and Tina are some of the best.
Have owned 4 bows from made by Abe, and I dont think there is a finer craftsman in the business.

abe's a good dude.i spent a couple hours on the phone with him over 4-5 call period.he's a good man.
I've known Abe and Tina for years.....1st class people! Abe's ability to work with wood and build bows is a gift.

There will come plenty of pictures and I will write an extensive review.
I have a wolverine and a peregrine, love them both. Abe is great to deal with and a true artist.
At the moment I have 2 peregrines and 2 Silver
Fox risers with 3 sets of limbs. No need to say anymore.
You are addicted Alonzo! But I recently spoke someone who owned over 10 Cari-bows, so there is still hope for you! By the way, to make things worse: there are new Cari-Bow models coming; the Lynx and the S-Lynx... shhhht, I did't say this, it is still top-secret.....
I talked to Abe about the Lynx at Compton's. I'm hoping to see one at KaZoo next year. He does some amazing grip work with those beaver tails too!
I know about those beavertails Mike! My new Peregrine, which is at the Dutch customs now, has a bevertail wrap.
He also does amazing work with antler and cape buffalo....
Allright, my new Peregrine also has antler tips and an antler riser overlay! Just to prevent myself to order another one.... :help:
Flying Dutch,
Glad you ordered one! Abe does increadible work. Did you get one like mine? :)
No Karim,
I took the following:
- Quilted Bubinga veneers
- Diamond riser, with a special piece of waterfall bubinga inserted with ebony
- bevertail wrap
- antler tips and riser overlay
WOW...Sounds like a winner. You'll have to post pics when you get it? It's buttery smooth. I know you will enjoy it.
In my opinion, Abe make's some of the best longbows out their. I have killed lots of game over the past 17 years with a caribow. From the weather being +35 to -35, the bows have held up great. I own about 1 or 2 cari-bow longbows..Ha Ha !!!!
My Peregrine arrived this afternoon. Never saw such a beautiful bow. Abes craftmanship is second to none. It is sheer perfection all the way.
How it shoots? The Peregrine gives a new meaning to the word speed. It is plain wicked fast. Silksmooth draw. No handshock. Review and pics will follow soon.
Good luck with the new bow Ad.
What is the Lynx and S Lynx all about guys? come on it's killing me here. I have deposit in house and am working with Abe now.
Flying Dutchman- Lets see some pics.
