Title: Cheyenne String ????
Post by: PhilFloyd on July 19, 2010, 12:04:00 PM
Didn't want to stop Bob from building bows to answer this question, so I will ask it here.

Just bought a set of carbon/foam longbow limbs for my Morrison Cheyenne.  I have an A riser and D limbs which make a 60" bow.  What would be the proper string length and brace height???

I shot my cheyenne A riser and D carbon/foam longbow limbs at 7 and 3/8th to 7.5 inches.I tried lower. But was happier with it thier overall.

I believe the string was 57 inches long.I shot an 8 strand Astroflight on that bow and really liked that material on that bow with that strand count.

SBD Bow strings is the string of choice for Bob nowadays.  www.SBDbowstrings.com (http://www.sbdbowstrings.com)
57" is right for the 60" bow.
