My son AJ had a blast today with his Samick Angel! It's a miniature 3-piece takedown recurve - black glass over wood core limbs, and a laminated wood riser. It comes with three wood arrows, a soft case, and a metal bow stand. It's small, but there's nothing "kiddie" about this bow. AJ hustled right along beside 4 grown men through a muddy 30 target 3-D course, flinging arrows at every target he could. Believe it or not, his first 4 shots were all in the 10 ring! I'm so glad I got him this bow - best 60 bucks I think I've spent on him this year.

Looking good Al! I'll be bringing my son to ATAR next year, maybe they can terrorize the dinosaurs together.

Here's another pic of AJ with his Samick Angel from our June club shoot before ATAR:

That is great! As Mudd would say..."How cool is that? Way!"
good lookin kid,al.must look like his mom. :biglaugh:
that's one heck of a bow for the buck. AJ held his own all day in the hills and mudd. he's quite the trooper and a natural in front of a camera lens.
I was looking at the angel youth bow in the 3 rivers catalog but this looks better and is a 3 piece so easier to store. I think i might be getting ahead of my self though my son just turned 3 months old.
Awesome!
he looks like a natural for sure!
Time and money well spent!!!

Big Al how old is your son? I just ordered this same bow for my girls who are 5 and 4. I can't wait to get it cause they have outgrown their little fiberglass/plastic one. Looks like alot of fun very cool..Henry
Henry, AJ is 4 but it's pretty safe to say he's not gonna make the NBA draft. He comes from a family of fireplugs. The Angel is just right for his frame.
Very cool indeed!
Al, you have a fine looking son, hope you are doing well, it's been a while since I last saw you.
Definately a day to remember
Cool frosted flakes shirt, too. His shooting is...(wait for it)..GRRREEAAAATTTT!!
Hey its late, I couldn't help myself
Looks like he is having a heck of a time! :archer: :archer2:
Great job dad...keep up the good work.
Al,
My little girl Gracie has the one piece angel, and they are great little bows.... Ill be seeing you guys in september maybe he can shoot with her.....
Jason
Jason, that sounds great, it would be awesome for AJ to have someone to shoot with!
John, we missed ya up at ATAR this year, figured you'd come up to shoot since you don't have to hawk bows now. Where were ya?
-AL-
Looks like a great time!
I picked up a one pc. angle for my grandauther at Denton Hill this year. Cool little bow.
I keep several of them in my shop (the 1-piece versions, so far anyway). I don't like the arrows that come with them, so I fletch up a half-dozen 1214 Easton Jazz shafts to go with them.
Those little bows smoke! I wouldn't be afraid to rabbit hunt with them. Thinking about getting a big square of foam and making a big dart board, just to play around with. They are fun to shoot.
Thanks for posting this, I have been looking for a bow for my 4 year old and after seeing this post my search may be over.
One of the best bows for a young archer. Great pictures. Thanks for sharing.
My 4 year old has the one piece and they are a great bow for the little ones. Like LBR said, these bows will smoke an arrow.
