I just got me a widow recurve 51@28 and trying to get the right arrow is work .I have to have my arrow 29" so that starts the mess(draw check) think I got it .Heritage 250 50gr insert 125BH Bare shaft pretty well out to 25 to 30 yard. Got me 2 new strings 97 so here my Elk set up
51# bow shooting arrow the weight in around 525Gr
Try adding a heavier point, like up to 100 g insert. Widows like more weight and more spine.
Should be getting my new Widow this week....I'll be standing by to see what everyone suggests. Mine will be 55 lbs at 29.5

The heavier point weight will make it weaker in spine instead of giving it more spine. ;)
After many changes I have mine working well with Eritage 250-100 grs insert 150 point.29"arrow and 56# for 29"draw.I have my arrow almost touching the back of the window.PsaX.
My 55@28 SA2 drawn to 29ish liked GT 55/75's 30.5" long with 50 grains added to front aluminum insert (used a 125gr point).
Total arrow weight was around 480 and they shot GREAT.
Same arrow did well from my next SA2, 57#@28".
Carbon Express Heritage 250s, 28", 125 gr field point, aluminum bh adapter, aluminum insert. I think they weigh about 470gr. These fly well from all my PSAs it seems. My draw is between 27.5 and 28".
I'm shooting 217's cut to 28 1/2" 150 grain points. This matches up pretty close to a carbon express 150 both spined at around 70#'s. I shoot 50lbs @ 28". 250's might be a little heavy on the spine, although Widows like a heavy spined arrow.
Yeah I know that more weight up front weakens the spine. You will have to increase the spine as well.
2117 aluminums cut to 29" with 145 grn tip out of SAIII 55#@27".
