You should go over to 3 rivers in IN it's great and it's close.  Doubt there are any trad stores around...hard to make a living specializing in trad stuff???

I went over to Target World in Sharonville earlier this week. While they are best known for firearms, they seem to have a very nice archery set up.

While the place is loaded with modern compound bows, the gent that waited on me, Randy, seemed to know a lot about traditional archery and was very helpful. He is involved in Boy Scouts and that is pretty trad archery.

He is making me a couple of strings and I will probably buy a dozen arrows when I go back in to get the strings and fire away at their inside range.

Might we worthwhile for you to check them out.

Check out Stenger Outdoor Products. Address 204 Main Street Addyston,Ohio 45001 513-941-1306.
It's a small shop that is mostly archery. He has bows on consignment and arrow building supplies. Call first as hours change through out the year.
There is even a local bowyer done the road that makes some really nice bows. I own 3 of them.

Steve I don't recall seeing full length feathers but I wasn't looking for them either. The owners name is Mike and he's good guy to work with. If he doesn't have it he'll order it.

Target World is a VERY scary place.  Too many mall ninja's in there wanting to show everyone their CCW.  I've seen dudes actually lift their shirts just to let folks "know" they were carrying.  That place is for fools only.

Otto, I agree with you on the firearms side of their business. I don't shoot there although I did shoot there years ago a bit.

Luckily I belong to an outdoor rifle/pistol range. I don't even shop there for firearms or related gear. A real shame because it is 5-10 minutes from my workplace.

I did have a quite different impression of the archery side of the business. Of course, as I get into this again, I may well find other, better shops.

target world is a dangerous place.go in the range and look up at the ceiling.ceiling tiles look like shredded wheat up there.they will let anybody shoot there.
