I have been looking to decrease the weight of bows that I shoot for a while now. I went to ATAR last weekend to test bows that I may be interested in.
My first(and last) stop was to the Anneewakee Archery booth and my friend John Dill. Bernie Dunn has been talking about how much he loved his "Addiction" so I wanted to try one out. It just so happens that the bowyer, Lee Hoots was there as well.
All I can say is Bernie was right. The bow I tried shot smooth and fast, and felt great in the hand! I was hooked....
Meeting Lee helped, because this is a real great guy to talk to...and having a friend like John Dill sealed the deal!
The bow is 56", and 49#@28...which with my 26" draw will be perfect for me....rosewood riser with
bamboo limbs...a real shooter and looker...
I would like to thank John Dill for the bow, and especially Lee Hoots for making such a great bow!
It was great meeting you....
Here are some pics of my "Addiction"....

real pretty, and i bet fits the hand very well by the looks of the grip.
Nice
Nice. I like the color combo on that and the black line in the riser. Nice slim forward grips is a + + for me.
I had the pleasure of seeing Lee (Vivian) and his new Pride and Joy just shortly after he sealed the deal. It is a beauty and I know he will not regret it. Boy was he pumped - but then, so was I when I got mine , and still am - even more so if possible. Good work John Dill and Lee Hoots. Good choice Lee Vivian.
Have you named it yet, Lee, or do you do that?
Don't usually name bows, Bernie, but in this case it may deserve one...will think about it and shoot it a while before deciding.....I bought it Friday afternoon...shot a fun course Saturday morning, then the comp course Saturday afternoon...and the coon shoot saturday night....it shoots great, now all I need is some work with it......
Right after got it John started the quiver sales pitch...the man doesn't give up...I'm thinking a kanati Slim Jim Quiver.....
Lee
Great looking bow Lee!! I shot Lee's personal 54" bow and I'm definitely gonna get me one as soon as I get the funds! It handled like a 54" and drew and shot like a 60" bow.
REALLY nice shooting bows. What a hoot it must've been to be able to talk to the bowyer too. John is a great guy to deal with also. Sounds like you had a great weekend. Good shooting! :archer2:
Good choice Lee, welcome to HOOTSVILLE!!!
I see you are from Pa. whatcha gonna do at Denton? :dunno: :dunno:
We will have some addictions and LiL Hoot recurves at Denton, Me and John will both be in the Anneewakee booth, Thanks Lee im glad your enjoying it!! Hoot
Lee, great choice. I wont be in the woods much without mine this year. I think the slim jim is the ticket on these bows as well. By the way, enjoyed your photos as well. Don
Thats a nice one :help: :D :D
I'm already trying to decide what size arrows to get for mine. What are you shooting?
I am for sure firm and strong on the Slim Jim Kanati Quiver - especially for hunting but I'll let mine wear it all year. The right name will come to you, Lee.
Lee
Those are some great pictures!!!! You did a fine pictorial. Really glad you joined team Addiction!!! Your a great friend and awesome customer! I enjoyed talking with you guys at ATAR. Enjoy that bow....I'll see you at ETAR!!!
Great looking bow
Congrats on the New Bow Lee! Many years and times ahead for you in the woods.
Lee, John could sell ice to an Eskimo. You are lucky you don't have a bow for each hand now! :biglaugh:
Pretty little baby bow you got.Maybe Lee will build a full grown bow one day. ;)
Thanks, everyone....I practiced some at the archery range monday night, and tonight I shot our club's Wednesday night 3D's. It shoots just as great in Pennsylvania as it did in West Virginia!
I took a picture of the bow with my Iphone....actually I just climbed a big hill and was resting before the next target...

I got to try some different arrows, and it shoots my wood arrows, my grizzly stiks, and my Carbon Express arrows equally well....think I'm gonna like this bow...shot one of my best scores tonight, even with the heat!
Christmas in July in my house!
Lee
Glad to see you got what you wanted Lee. Now settle down, and just have some plain ole fun.
So glad your Addiction Bow is working out for you, Lee, as mine is for me. No real surprise to me though, I have to say - I hate to be one of those "I told you so" guys but I told you so :goldtooth:
