I recently bought a Toelke Chinook from a fellow Tradganger and upon delivery I noticed a bit of hand shock when I was shooting, which was not consistent with Dan's bows. I sent him an e-mail which he responded very quickly to say that particular bow was designed for a longer draw than I have (26 1/2"). He then sent me a new string of a different material to try and it did the trick. No shock now and it is a screamer.
All for no charge. What a great guy. I'll be buying more from Dan in the future for sure. Kudo's Dan! :notworthy:
That's *great* customer service right there!
Shoot straight, Shinken
Met Dan this spring in the Bitterroot stump shooting . Great guy and great bows. Congrats
I have a "Curlew" coming this week and my dealings with Dan go back through more bows than a person deserves. I have had the good fortune to spend some time with him and his family in Ronan and find him today like the first time I ever spoke with him, as good a guy as people get to be.
Enjoy your Chinook Doug. They are superb bows. One of the best 50s style cuves around..
He sold my wife her first bow and spent an hour teaching her how to shoot. Now i have to get my form as clean as hers.
I haven't had the pleasure to meet Dan yet, but he made my first traditional bow and I have owned nearly all make and models of his bows. He definitely "Da Man"

I bought a bow from dan... Service better than I expected.. But when i bought a second hand bow on TG that the grip was a lil different and I asked him about reducing it... He offerred to swap it out with His personal bow from last season that was more like mine.... NC!!! (well shipping)
Now I couldn't take him up on it, because that just ain't right in my opinion... But he is about helping the archer out and his bows are as good as they get IMHO...
I haven;t had the pleadure of meeting Dan in person, but I can say from my experience and by his customer service, They don't come any better than Dan!!! :clapper:
Dan is a good man. I should be getting back my Black Lambda limbs from him with the new riser he made me tomorrow hopefully. I'll post pics when I can.
Dan understands customers alright. I also started with a used Toelke and he answered my questions the same as if I'd bought it new.
I have since purchased 5 new Toelkes for my sons and me. He adjusted the weight on one for no charge. He is genuinely interested in you being happy with archery.
 THUMBS UP FOR DAN
when he made me a custom bow, he was there all the way, he said the bow will be ready in a month and he delivered in 3 weeks, he usually does this and surprises you with great customer service.
I then bought a used whip and also had details i wanted fixed , he told me to send the bow, he did to it what needed to be done and send the bow back , for just shipping costs, he is a great guy and bowyer, REALLY recommend him and his bows.
I called to ask him a question yeterday and ended up getting over the phone shooting lessons. What he told me made more sense than anything anyone else has told me about shooting. I went home and tried it and it worked just like he said. I can't wait to see how his bows shoot. As a person he is an A+.
I bought a bow from Dan this spring. He was a pleasure to deal with ,answered all my questions and then some. Plan on getting another in the near future.

Headed up to Dan's in a couple hours to go over specs on another Whip. Always a pleasure to visit with him about archery.
Just got a recurve on trade and all I can say is WOW. Not the fastest bow I have had but the best shooting and attention to detail of any bow I have had. The Toelke bows have lived up to the hype unlike most others I have had. I will have a new one in the near future. Dan is definitely the man.
Like all these comments, I just ordered a new Whip from him and can't wait!
Nice to hear about such great service.
