I was wondering if anyone has put a leather wrap on their long bow? I have never done one and would like some help or suggestions..thanks..Lonnie

If you are talking about a leather handle wrap, then I would take a paper sack or paper and make a pattern where the open ends are out front on the back of the handle. Now you have a pattern to cut your leather handle. Now you need a leather needle and some sinue or waxed bow string and lace up the leather on the back of the bow. Before tighting the string, put some glue(leather glue) on the inside of the leather. Ken

I use leather lace and actually wrap the handle, and find that the "grooves" between the lace give my hand a reference point.

i used some upholstry leather from a local shop and a baseball stitch to sew it on the bow is an osage self bow from pat brennen (http://i602.photobucket.com/albums/tt101/broketooth/osagebowpics006.jpg)
