nice time with the wife and son,we shot and had a blast. i met BIG JIM...super nice guy!...looked at his bows and zippers,blackcreeks,treadways....thats where the trouble is....im in need of one of each! :archer2:
Did you shoot a black creek?
I'm sure you're not alone.I couldn't make it this year, unfortunate for me,fortunate for my wife.I just got a Buffalo Bow off a fellow tradganger that I believe is going to be a very good bow once I get it tuned to my style but my Treadways are shooters.Good luck figuring out your delimma.
Heading for Denton in a couple of weeks and I will be in you same situation I am sure, been eyeing the Zippers for a while and now I hear Tall Tines is going and my favorite Bob Morrison oh brother I wont have any hair when I get back.
Know how you feel , shot a Zipper for the first time . Came close to going all in on one , but came to my senses. What a great shooting bow.
Picked up a used Zebrawood Pa widow from Big Jim , good guy to deal with . That was a very enjoyable weekend , Roy
Anyone get to shoot a Hoots bow there?
The Zipper is a nice bow, in 2007 one followed me home from ATAR. I didn't look hard yesterday because I knew where it would lead ;)
Those Blackcreek bows are fast.
you should use the phone a friend theory when looking at bows or bring him with so save time and he can help carry them
I was pretty impressed with the Blackcreek Bows and the Morrison Mini 14. But I'm not in trouble I am to broke to buy with or without permission so I came home with the same amount of bows! But I am getting a plan together to have one ASAP!!!
Uhhh, fellow bowbuyers anonymous. I have to confess that I too fell off the wagon again at ATAR. Had no idea of buying a bow! Honest! I decided to just "try out" a few so if anybody ever asks me "Have you ever shot a xxxx bow and if so how was it?" You know, just gathering information. I shot a Black Creek, a Big Jim Buffalo bow, and then I fell into the embrace of a Mike Treadway Black Swamp longbow, Oh the shame  . I really didn't mean to do it, but it just felt so right. So I brought her home with me--my wife does not even mind :bigsmyl: . Boy is that bow a shooter--60" and 50#@28" draw, and a lefty to boot. Hot dog---I mean, oh me! I promise I will do better next time

I shot an Annawakee Addiction Bow made for John Dill by Lee Hoots.....and ended up buying it at ATAR.....great shooter and good looking.....told myself that I was only going to test it out.....but I'm weak......! I love the bow......

David Mitchell!
You sir, are incorrigible. You have officially joined the "worse than ME club." Didn't we have a talk about this problem just a few months ago? :knothead:
btw... I've heard a lot of great reports about those bows. Looking forward to shooting yours. :help:
David just thinks he bought it. Old Mike is such a salesman he SOLD David the bow.
Don't feel bad, he sold me one to the last year ATAR was a Winterplace ;)
Now c'mon, Jim, I know I'm not that bad yet--worse than you??!!
