I've been wanting another 1 piece longbow for awhile. I saw Chuck at Grayling with his personal bow and asked if I could shoot. After a short session at the practice butts I asked to buy it. Graciously, he made me a great deal on this fine bow. I'm not an osage fan, but as well as this bow shoots I can over look the orange :goldtooth:

The bow shoots well and is tolerant of spine and my poor shooting ability. I finished up some woodies I had laying around and liked how well they shot that I ordered more cedar shafts from Ted at Raptor. The bow has an oliverstacy string on it.
FINALLY !! I've been wantin pics & comments on this Bow for awhile ,,, Guess I gottem ,, BEAUTIFUL !! Oh Oh ..............
Osage happens to be my most favorite wood! If you realize you just can't live with it, I'll be happy to take it off your hands. :D
Beautiful looking bow. I was actually looking at that model a while back. Glad to hear they shoot well.
Very nice looking bow. Is that his standard grip?
I'm not sure about the grip. Hopefully Chuck will have something to add (when doesn't he?). I like it, it has more of a thumb guide then a thumb rest. Very repeatable, and very comfortable.
Owlbait, just keep that osage in the light for a while and it won't be so orange.
That last pic TOTALLY tripped me out. It looks like a HUGE longbow is at your feet.
It took me a minute to realize it was actually on the rail. lol
Awesome bow!!!
 Nice bow!!!
Glad you are Happy Mike, The woods are osage with maple in the limb, and figured sepele with a purpleheart I-beam handle. The grip is standard, tips I did Custom for me. Oliverstacy string and artic fox silencers from a yard sale muff.
Chupa, I should be after your next project soon. thanks for the good word.
Thanks for looking all.
Chuck
Very nice.Being so close to me i dont know how i have never shot one of Chucks bows.
Chad
Chuck makes an awesome bow!
Great lookin bow Chuck....A little sun and that Osage will tan up better than Warren Beatty :)
Thanks again guys, hey Doug how is Sean getting on with his new bow? I have some pics of it loaded and may post some later, forwarn him for me please. I wish I would have taken a picture of that clay bird shoot that he pulled off. Did anybody get a pic of that?
Chuck.
Chuck, are the limbs trapped on this model? I am asking because the more I shoot and play with this bow the more I notice about it. It really is a fun bow to shoot.
good looking bow, classic.
Yes Mike, They are trapped to the back(as they say).Have you noticed that it likes a heavy arrow?
Lamey, That is what I wanted when I designed this bow in 2002. A classic "D" profile when strung and the attributes of reflex/deflex. After some growth over the years I really am happy with it.
Chuck
Very, very nice!!!
Michael,Thanks for the kind word. I am still excited to hear back from you. I will send you a pm.
Chuck
Nice looking bow!
I thought the string looked familiar too. ;)
Thanks Arwin.
As far as the string goes, it is good. Josh(oliverstacy) does a bang up job,I get 10 strand D97 with halo serving and padded loops. Josh gets pretty exacto with getting me the length I want all pre-streched and twisted just right. I put them on and shoot a couple hands full of arrows and set the brace and she stays put. I need to check my stash. I may need to get my order in, I will have a tamo ash and a curly myrtle coming up as well as a couple others.Josh, You off vacation yet?
Chuck
Man, that longbow is some kinda a sweet....
Very Nice.... I don't know how you talked chuck out of that Beauty...
:biglaugh: :biglaugh:

Cool pics Sean. Good shooting. Those twotrack bows are winners, aren't they.
Great looking bow Owlbait, like the lines and that nice little thumb rest too!
Sean
I to have an Ambush, and I must agree it is one sweet shooting little bow. I shot up at the range tonight with it, and the other trad guys could not get over how quick and quiet it was, just wish I could shoot it as good as you!~
Owlbait,
They sure are. I'm adding the longwalker to my wish list.
Over&Under,
I was in awe when i shot my friend's (Doug G) ambush (and quite a bit jealous as i was at the auction he got it from!). When we ran into Chuck at comptons, and he said he had one, i was determined to buy that bow! Which i did with a short term loan from Doug G.
Nice looking bow.Love the grip.Bet she is a shooter.
Thats cool Sean, He won't tell you but he only owned that bow for about 2hrs. when he shot the centers out of them three clay birds. Thanks for posting the pics Sean, You sure seem to have the knack for shooting it. I have some pictures of Over&under's and Seans Ambush bows, Anybody want to see em?
Chuck
absolutely... :) full length strung and unstrung...being a shrew/griffin fan, I like it... :) man I need to make a form... :banghead:
Bob
I shot that bow I think at the bunny hunt and really liked it. smooth, quick, and really just felt good and held well.
Thanks Matt, That is the bow you shot. You sure are getting a nice collection of Hill style bows. Is that wallace an R/D bow?
I am going to post pics of Sean and Jakes Ambush bows on a new thread.
