Title: Flint Quest Bow by Horne's Archery
Post by: Horne's Archery on July 09, 2010, 10:44:00 AM
Horne's Archery is proud to announce our newest bow the Flint Quest.

This bow is endorsed by Scott Anderson with Backland Experiences.  Scott has a great love for Traditional Archery.

It is really exciting to hear about and watch Scott's hunts with the Flint Quest Bow.

We feel this may be the most well rounded bow we have offered.

For more information on the Flint Quest Bow please visit our website at  www.hornesarchery.com (http://www.hornesarchery.com)

Compoundless in Concrete,

We are putting together some demo bows and plan on offering a demo program soon.

If you want to be first on the list please PM your address and we will get you on the list.

wv lungbuser,

Yes, you can have both Recurve and Longbow limbs on the same riser.

The Recurve and Longbow limbs will shoot within 3 feet of each other at the same weight.

Thanks guys for the kind words.

Bentpole,

The Flint Quest bow was designed as a shorter longbow.  This bow is ideal for tree stands and pit blinds.  The Flint Quest is very stable and performs exceptionally well.

The Flint Quest has a little more deflex in the handle.  This increases it's point ability and allowed us to put more reflex in the limbs.  This makes for a little smoother, softer and quieter bow.

We have had several people ask about the demo bow.

We will be working on the demo bow this week.  The demo bow will have both Recurve and Longbow limbs. The bow will finish out somewhere between 45# to 50# at 28".

Hopefully this weight will work for everyone.

Well all I can say about the Flint Quest is that is a superbly crafted, smooth shooting nail driver.

I have posted a review under the "product reviews" section for anyone interested in this fine bow!

What is the difference between this bow and your combo hunter with longbow limbs?

A.S.,

I have sent Barry your address and the bow will be shipped to you next.

Rick,

The Flint Quest has a little more reflex in the handle and a little more deflex in the limbs which really compliment each other.  This combination makes for a really smooth and accurate bow.

Ok my time with the Flint Quest was a little scattered as it arrived just as I left to go elk hunting.

Out of the box.

As all of the bows that I have seen from Mark the craftsmanship is tops. Beautiful lines.

The grip is what makes a bow for me. The grip on the Flint Quest is awesome. same fit every time.

Shooting.

Sandy included a little info on thier reccomendations for setting the bow up. Within minutes I had the bow shooting great. It is fast and stable. It draws smooth and is quiet on the release.

It is another great bow from Mark and Sandy.

I bought one without seeing or shooting it. Ordered a twin to it the next week! Sold all my bows, now have only 2 Flint Quest bows. One is 58 @30" and the other is 54@30" for those cold mornings.

Well, I spent the morning shooting the Flint Quest. Here are my thoughts on the bow...

Fit and finish--as good as any bow that I have owned. I really appreciate the smooth finish on this bow!

Shooting this bow is very easy to shoot. It draws very smooth and is as dead in the hand as any bow out there! I have been shooting carbon/foam limb bows for the past year or so, but these bamboo core limbs are really impressive.

If I can work a new bow into my budget this coming year, the Flint Quest will be at the top of the list for sure.

Thanks again to Mark for providing this loaner bow.

I shot this bow. It was a beauty as is all of Mark's bows. Shot a variety of arrows too. Quick, quiet, easy to tune and very easy to pick a spot and hit it.
