Islandlongbow, you're picture of the Ohia tree with Lehua blossoms is beautiful. The flower reminds me of one of my favorite state side trees, the Mimosa.
I wouldn't have one growing in my yard as I don't care for multi-trunked trees but when it's in bloom there aren't many as pretty. I think of flamingos every time I see one in full bloom.

Mud ledgend says if you pick one of these flowers when in the mountians you cause it to rain.
