Title: Traditional archers in PA
Post by: babs on July 05, 2010, 01:24:00 PM
I was just wondering if there are any traditional shooters that are in the Altoona, Tyrone or Bald Eagle area here in PA. I dont have anybody else to shoot with and to help a newbie out thanks

Did you try contacting the PA longbow Association (palongbow.com)? They could probably point you in the right direction. August 14 and 15 they're sponsoring a 3d shoot in New Oxford, close to you?

babs - I'm on the other side of State College from you (Howard).  In addition to Denton Hill (ETAR) the PA Longbow Association will also be having a shoot in Gallitzin (your backyard) on August 7 & 8. Here's the link to the PA Longbow Association.

Shade Mountain is a really nice shoot too.  I'm not sure if they have a web site.

Brad, I live in Huntingdon.  We are having a 3D at Shenecoy next Sunday,July 18 from 8 till 2.  I will be running the shoot, stop down and we can talk and shoot. There is a half dozen or so of us that travel to different shoots in the area during the summer.  We would be glad to help you out and shoot with you.
