I am going to hunt with my 56lb longbow and have been using snuffers out of my recureve. Was thinking about using zwickey's out of the longbow which would you think would be better the 4 blade delta or the 4 blade eskimo?
Either one you mentioned will work. I prefer the 2 blade Eskimo out of my 56# Hill.
Also going to be shooting woods too....
i use WW out of 54lb hill with 2018 work good for me . my 2cent
I have used 2 blade Magnus vented on wood for my longbows.
The one that you can get the sharpest would be the best one - provided that they both fly equally well out of your bow.
If your arrow spine is not well matched to your bow, you may experience challenges with the flight of the Deltas.
Have a great 2010 hunting season!
Shoot straight, Shinken
I shoot 160 gr. STOS. Its a great head and sharpens easy. I am going to start shooting woods some too.
what r u hunting
I am hunting deer...bow is well tuned with woods and 145 point or 125 points.. I just haven't hunted with the zwickeys..like the looks of them. I have killed hogs with the long bow and snuffers but just want to try this set up for deer this year..
With a 56# bow, you can pretty much pick whatever you want to use for deer. They are not especially difficult to penetrate. I shot through one with 125 grain snuffers from my 55# longbow. I'm thinking of trying 160s this fall. Last year I shot Delta 2 blades from my 46# Kanati, and I can tell you they go through a whitetail VERY quickly! Terry Green shoots most everything with 4 blade Deltas.
Just pick what you like and can sharpen and go kill deer. Zwickey Deltas have been used on every critter on the planet with great success. I don't see why they wouldn't work for you.

Since you Only asked about Zwickey's I'll reply with an answer that matches your question...
I shoot both and both will do the job. Both are easy to sharpen and tune to your bow. That being said, The Delta's leave a nice big hole but so does the Eskimo's..... My answer is Both....
Both will do the job.But i like the big Delta. :goldtooth:
I have used both and I would say that I would go with the 2 bladed version of either broadhead. :archer2:
I'd stick with the snuffer, Here is a pic of a bear taken with a 53# long bow with a 1" 5/16 snuffer. complete pass through I had to pull the arrow from the dirt. Bear only went 30yds (http://i567.photobucket.com/albums/ss115/earljeff/mainebearhunt2009014.jpg)
