Just recieved in the mail a 1972 LH 45# @28 52" Bear Kodiak Magnum.... I recieved it from a fellow Trad Gang'er... (Thanks Buddy.. I Love It!!!!)
I just could not believe how clean it is.... I think whoever owned it never hunted with it....
I just put on a new string, rug, leather plate, and string silencers and off I was....

I ordered some 1535 GT Trad arrows for it.... they shoot sweet with almost no tuning.....
I am very surprised that this old bow has no hand shock.... That was always my worry about the Bears, but with the 1535 GT and 200 up front it shoots almost as good as my Bob Lee....
I picked it up for my girlfriend to hunt with but I think I might have to sneak it out for a hunt or two....
Dave, you did good;they are incredible shooters very often overlooked.I have quite a few of them and I love them all.
Yea, I just couldnt believe it.... I thought with the shorter limbs it would be real touchy.... but its very forgiving.... Now I just have to talk myself out of not buying another when I see them on the forums....
Hey Dave...checked USPS delivery confirmation a couple of hours ago and seen where the bow was delivered. Wow, you didn't wait around at all to shoot that K Mag did ya'. I'm glad you like it, and hope you get another forty years service out of it. Thanks, it's been a pleasure doin' business with you.
That's incredable, and still a great shooter.
Those old Bears are hard to beat..congrats!
Good for ya ,that bow looks like its in about new condition, and a lefty too,God was smilin on ya.
Dave....thought I might tell you, I've got some GT1535 trads (not blems) that I am taking to ATAR for the trade blanket. I have 10 fletched and one bareshaft for tuning. The are 30 inch long with 3 four inch RW feathers. They all have arrow wraps and I shot just a couple of them maybe 20 times each. Colors are flo pink, flo green, white. These arrows colors really pop, can send you send pics later if you want to see them.
Thanks again Reaper..... My girlfriend and I love it!!!!!....

Nice bow. It looks brand new. Enjoy it.
Looks like a shooter. Very nice, Congrats!
I love the kmag. 45# 1972 was my first bow I ever owned. Liked it so much that when I decided to get a heavier poundage I bought a 55# 1972 kmag. :D
Dave, I am excited as well because I bought green rh kodiak mag last week in 55# on the classifieds and I cannot wait for it to get here.
plus its left handed!
