I see alot of you answered about what you have paid per head for the old Bear Razorheads, I did'nt think there were that many still shooting them. I have been shooting the 145 grain exclusivly for years, how many of you use the bleeder blades and are there any new style heads out there that fly as good? I have had such good luck over the years shooting them both as 2 and 4 blade I have never had a reason to switch. Anyone know why they quit producing them? DK.
I still use them! From what I understand they remachined the tool that made them to make the stainless version in the late 70's then it was scraped out after that.
i have some and like them. To me just a slight design differance from a zwickey
I just started shooting them, i use the bleeders and like em
I was weaned on them in the 60's and still my heart's desire.
There are other good points out there, but still my preference and I am thoroughly dissapointed in what has happened to Bear Archery after Fred passed on and the show went to Florida!
I use then exclusivey with the bleeder blade.
I have used them for years and have dozens. Always used the bleeders in them,
I bought a package 20 some years ago and never used them until 2008. Killed one nice buck with them (two shots). lost one of them. Then lost another on a doe. I didn't use the bleeder blades, they were to much a PIA to put on straight. As a two blade worked great. I have a four left. Since they don't make them anymore, I just picked up a couple packages of Magnus two blades.
Since Bear Archery is jumping back into the trad game with some new models this Fall or early next year, it would be wise for Bear to also re-introduce the old greenie Bear Razorhead.
