Ok, Fox High Sierra, 47 lb @ 27-1/4". I like my arrows 1" longer to 28-1/4" tried a bunch of different arrows, (I prefer aluminum) and a 2114 shot the best thus far. Bare shafted it, and flies like crap. Worked up a load with my BW, and 2117's bare shafted, and with fletch fly like darts. Tried 1916, 2016, 2018, 2117, and some blackhawk carbonwoods 4000. My buddy says shoot carbons, but I'm a dinosaur, I just like aluminum. Tried different wt heads also, on all of the above. I shoot a 145 gr broadhead, and would like to stay with the same head. Any suggestions?
Your bare shafting should be telling you something. Stiff, weak, nock high, nock low? What direction you should be heading?
My guess, which could be totally wrong without knowing more details, is that everything you've tried is too stiff, and you should maybe try something like 1816's.
