Title: bow fishing reels for recurve

this is somthing id really like to try but i shoot a recurve that is not and will never be drilled what can you tell me about the tape ons and adaptors that are out there ? any problems ? would you recommend one over the other ? do i even need a reel in the recent traditional bowhunter mag there is an artical about useing just fishing arrows and milk jug floats from a canoe any body ever try something like that from shore ? how does it work ? i know thats a lot of questions but this web site is full of the most knowlagable people i know please help if you can

3 Rivers carries a strap on adapter. I bought it from others advice. I have used it 3 times and have qualms with it whatsoever.

I just zip tie mine on the side of the bow. Usually put tape between the bracket and the bow so It won't scratch the finish.

the strap on adapter works well.  You canuse it to hold a reel set up or by putting a bolt thru a right sized crutch ruber end, or just a bottle cap, you can use one of the soda bottle home made reels.

Careful of your set up.  I read that TBM article and it sounds great, but in WI I believe it specifically states the ARROW must be attached to the BOW with cord.
