I have always shot carbon arrows, but I would like to make up some woody's for my new to me sunset hill(just seems right),My bow is 64" 48#@28,I pull 29",I need some guesstimates on what spine to order and from where.I would like my finished shafts to be 30.5" bop.Any and all help will be appreciated. Thanks, carpenter.
A lot of my longbows are 50-53# at my 29" draw. Depending on how close to center your bow is, I can get away with arrows that are 50-55,55-60,60-65! I would start at 55-60 and leave them a bit long at first. Oh yea, I use 125 gr. tips.
55-60# for my 50-55# class bows.
What is the center shot on the bow? What type of string and number of strands?
Craig
I would say it is 3/16 before,and 14 strand d-97.
55-60# with 125 grain points should work fine.
Craig
Thanks Craig,I will be talking to you.
I would suggest 65-70 for 30.5" arrows.
