Anyone have an Owl bow? Ive been longing to order one for no good reason other than the fact that they are so cool looking.Sure Id hunt it a bit but I really just wanna look at it now that my bow display rack is finished.Id also like to see any other ornate bow of that type.
Thanks,Izzy
Here I still want to look at your new one Izzy. Has it already become just another bow in the rack? :jumper:
I have one, but no pics..... you know where it is if you want to see it.
i was also very interested in one of his bows. hope to see some good pic's.
They are works of art as well as functional weapons. I was lucky enough to be set up close to Ed at Cloverdale. The Ramhorn/sinew bow was just awesome as well as the gemsbock/sinew bow. Also got to shoot a juniper war bow. The man is a wealth of information. He knows his stuff. Wish I could own one. Sorry no pics.

I checked out some of his bows at Cloverdale, Awsome is all I can say.
My daughter just got a new one at Compton so we have a total of three in the household. I will post some pictures later. They are all great shooters and his craftsmanship is second to none.
He had one made of sheeps horn at Compton....awesome.
Ron has one, they are very, very nice.
Keith, is yours a southpaw??? It wouldnt hurt if I could commission you to make me a wood bow that I could paint up you know.Glenbo gave me 2 beautiful hickory staves that I managed to mangle so Im gonna give my bowmaking tools a rest til I read a little more and maybe see some bow building dvds.
Mine is a lefty. It doesn't shoot right now because it's in need of repair. Someday I'll get around to it.... or i'll just keep it to look at.
You can make a bow, I can help. I need to get working on a new one for me, so I'll be in the shop soon. I'm not a DVD, but.....
Here are a few pic's of mine.

I do not own any Owl bows but felt I had to comment on this thread. At Compton's I spent a little over three hours on and off watching shooters on the warm up bales. During this time I wasn't interested in watching shooters as much as evaluating the bows that they shot. I saw no less than 8 of the Owl bows being shot. They were without a doubt the quietest bows that were shot while I was there. I know this isn't in any way scientific, but just an honest observation.
Thats a sweet bow Paul, looks like the one that wa featured in TBH.Let me know when you hit the shop Keith and tell me what I need to get as far as boards.
Get a Hill Izzy you won't regret it.
He makes some BEAUTIFUL self bows! I have a mulberry tree out back that keeps calling to me.
