Title: Danner TFX Boots? Anyone wearing these?
Post by: hawk22 on June 24, 2010, 11:41:00 PM
I have an opportunity to buy a pair of these boots at a really reduced price and wondered if anyone has a pair and if so, what do you think of them?  I thought they would work for an early season hunting boot  http://www.danner.com/product/boots/desert+tfx+rough-out+gtx+military+boots.do

I wear them at work.  They are comfortable and easy to get on.  I would think they are too hot for early season.  I wear them all winter for training and opperations but I am moving most of the time.  I never thought about them for hunting.  I prefer rubber muck boots in the winter, and lighter boots or tennis shoes in the early season.

I have a pair I wear for work... they are great especially once they break in.  I really like the comfort of them, and I plan on using them for hunting this fall. I wouldn't plan on my feet keeping dry in them, but they have great support and seem to breathe well.  As far as similar "work" boots go for me, I'd take them any day over Oakley or Rockys.
