Title: Grizzly Sticks
Post by: Toklat1 on June 24, 2010, 10:27:00 PM
Does anyone use these arrows? What are your reviews? Like em/dislike em? There may be another post on here about these but I haven't seen it. Give me some feedback please.

Do a search, lots of info on them.  Also look at Arrow Dynamics Traditional and Trad Lites, both great arrows.

I use them and love them.  I would say most people that get them to fly right love them.  They are heavy, tapered, and very durable.  The big complaint I have heard is that people can't get them to fly right.  They fly like darts out of my bow.  Any carbon type arrow will be hard to adjust length unless you have the proper tools.  I love them.

Alaskan's fly great out of both my 55# and 60# and weight in at 675grs. I really like them but Sitka's will hit 3' high and left at 20 yards for some strange reason. They fly straight but straight off deep into the woods.

I have had no problems getting Alaskans to fly out of any of my 60#+ bows with 300gr up front. My son shoots Sitkas out of his 46# with 250gr up front, no problems. Good heavy duty shaft.

I've been shooting the Sitkas and they actually shot better that my GT's, I was suprised as  was shooting them out of my 44lb BW,they hit the target with authority.

I hunted with some guys from Mississippi and they loved them so I tried them and they weren't for me.  So give them a try they might be just the thing for you.

I shoot 29 1-2 " sitkas out of a 49# Toelke whip and they also fly like darts.135 gr no mercy heads with 75 gr inserts.I dont think the sitkas are as durable as the heavier models, but I do like them.glen

I was unhappy with the set of sitkas I bought. The shafts had bumps all over them and the nocks were terrible and I think there made over seas very poor quality at a high price.

Thanks for all the input,  I've been hearing better reviews of the arrow dynamic trad light so I will look into those as well. Where are the Grizz sticks made?  :scared:

I thought the Grizz sticks were made in Alaska.  :dunno:

I was told there made over seas. I shoot them off with my ACS. They shoot well enough but so do several other brands. When the few I have left are gone I'll shoot something else. The cost is just to high. BTW most of my recurves shoot other arrows better.

I've had better results (quality, performance, service) with other carbons at much lower cost.  Carbon Express Heritage is my (cheaper and imho better) choice.
