Here is the story over on Highlights but I must add this is my first recovered one.
The last time I had a chance the critter took off down a hole along with my arrow. Not this time!!!!! :goldtooth:

That's awsome! Those critters are hard to sneak up on. I've got a den in my back yard that needs thinned out. Couple of close calls but not yet. Way to go!

I was seriously going to clean it and try it out. Heard some good things about them.
Unfortunately upon inspection this thing was covered with parasites. YUCK!!!

Great job! I am thinking about trying to find some of these this summer...They sound like a huge challenge. Congrats! That is a nice bow too.
Great trophy! Thanks for sharing!
I do hope you had a back-up shooter when you went after him..lol
God bless,Mudd
They do taste quite good. Kinda squirrel/rabbit/venison like. Younger ones are better (more tender)
Don't worry about parasites. They just tenderize the meat..jk
Good Job!!

Ground hog leather is amazingly tough - makes the best lace material. Young ones good on the grill and slow cook the old ones.
