Hi All,
I am planning to build an outbuilding / workshop out behind the house, and was hoping you all could post a few pictures to give me some ideas and inspiration. Also, what type of structure would you recommend, a stickbuilt, or a pole barn type? Any pics and responses would be much appreciated. Thanks!

Figure out however much space you want to have. Then double it.
Seriously, you will want more space than you think eventually, so if nothing else try to plan for some extra storage space that you could expand the shop into someday if needed. Just material storage space alone takes up a bunch of space, and it's best to plan for it.
Same rule pretty much applies to electrical as well. I thought I was being generous with outlet placement when I did my shop, but sure wish I had more, both in capacity and number of outlets.
One thing I really wish I had looked into was in floor heating. My shop was a retrofit of an old farm shed, but it would be easier if you are starting new.

Where's the picture of Norm Abrams...LOL That is one nice shop!
My shop (building) is very similar to Whips 66 foot by 24 foot. If I had to it over again i would go with 10 foot walls instead of 8. I would post pictures but after seeing how clean Whips is I would be to embarrassed to!
My shop is 20x24 and has 10ft walls. Stick built with insulated floors. A slab floor would have been cheaper than the pressure treated frame on piers, but I didn't want anything below grade and would have needed a whole bunch of fill.

Love your tablesaw outfeed set up Whip. I have one similar to that drawn up (and no time to build it)
