Happpy Father's Day.
If your father is living, take some advice from one that lost his father almost 15-years ago and call, wish, and spend time with him. Enjoy him while he is here. Not just today. My father was an outdoorsman, athletic coach and school administrator. I have three children that he would have loved to see grow up and play sports along the way. That did not happen as a result of illness. I miss him.
Sometimes the job is not an easy one. I tell my three, that when they leave my house, they will be prepared to be a contributing member of society. And if there is a question as to if they should do something or not. Ask this question- if I am discovered, will I embarass my mother and father. If the answer is yes- do NOT do it.
You young fathers have an important task ahead of you.
Happy Father's Day Gang.
Billy
Tried to call mine, he is working today. He is a Bat.Chief on the T.H.F.D. He works 24 on 48 off. I remember when he was hired, I was just a little tike.
Same to you friend.
Thanks for the wishes! Back at ya :) and all the Dads on this forum. "Happy Fathers Day"!!
I got a lot of wishes for today at my grandaughter, Hayle's wedding (she's Onesty's sister) yesterday, from family and friends of the girls. However I want to just say that all wishes are received with gratitude and appreciation, including these expressed here, and I also return then to all other fathers here. In like issue, I have been going to the local flea market on weekends (found some great archery and outdoor, as well as St. Jude auction item, buys there over the years). I also worked the same market as a vendor for a lot of years before that. Even with that in mind, I was still surprised (and blessed) by all the personal wishs for a Happy Father's Day that I received there this AM. Unsolicited good wishes are so priceless, in my opinion, yet never fail to surprise and move me, just as "thanks" for "your service" always do. My daughter, Lois, always says, "It's those smiling Irish eyes, Daddy,"
:) . I love that 47 year old sprite.
HAPPY FATHER'S DAY TO ALL :archer:
Lost The "old man" back in 2001. Busted his butt providing for 9 of us (not all his own). Not a day goes by that I don't think of him . I like to think that he was proud of all of us, as I am of my family.
I have a great daughter and son-in-law, who have blessed me with a beautiful granddaughter, Lily, The true love of my life, and the best "gift" any Grandpa (or Grandmother) could have. Happy Father's day to all! Keith
