I just got home and found a package from the USPS containing the XX75 2018 autumn orange shafts 1/2 dozen, that I won on the St. Judes aution. When I was high bidder, I realized that the cost of nearly $10 per shaft was on the high side for a shaft, but what the heck I like autumn orange and it's for the kids, right? Opened up the package and there's not 6 but 8 shafts. WOW. I feel like I hit gold. It just goes to show what kind of people inhabit this site. Thanks to Bob Freese (Stickhorse) for his donation and the extra little something for me.

I experienced something much the same with the Sfari Tuff quiver from Rob DiStefano. As I'm opening the package I here some clanking around in the box. I said to myself that it wouldn't surprise me to see something extra in there. Well wouldn't ya know there was a handful of arrows n it too. A couple woodies and some carbons too. Thanks Rob. Your generosity will not go unnoticed. Jason

I had made a trade with Cromm for a nice back quiver. I was so excited to be getting a back quiver that was coming from the home country of Robin Hood.. How cool is that?
Cromm is from the UK and I was so excited to make this trade. I can't even remember what he got for his end of the deal.. but that doesn't matter because I had a real Robin Hood quiver.. Yahoo!
It finally arrived at the post office and I just couldn't wait to open it and sling it over my shoulder.
I whiipped out my knife and....ok hold on don't get ahead of me here...lol No! I didn't cut the quiver in any way..lol I got it open and Cromm had done a wonderful job of packing it for shipping. I mean even inside the quiver was stuff with newspaper. I dragged every piece out, dropping stuff all over that little corner of the post Office But I, being a good citizen made sure that I cleaned up all of my trash and threw it into the trash can. After showing it off to all of the PO employees I rushed home to show my wife the new treasure and load it up with arrows so I could try it out immediately. It worked great!
That evening I sat down at the computer and sent Cromm an e-mail letting him know that it had arrived safely.
The next morning I had a reply asking me how I had liked the broadheads. He had placed three of them inside the quiver all wrapped up good to protect the quiver from getting cut by them. Two of them were apparently collectible HH style broadheads(very old) and one was a stone point that Cromm had knapped out himself.
My heart sank and it was embarrassing to have to type out that next e-mail to him explaining how in all my excitement I had apparently thrown them all away in the trash can inside the PO.
Lesson Learned, even if I open something at the PO, all that comes in a package including the wrapping and packing material goes home with me to be gone over very carefully now..lol

Doesn't surprise me at all coming from Stickhorse. Bob is a first class man all the way. I owe him a heap of respect an thanks for all he has done for me over the last few years. He is one of a kind.
