Having got bows set up[ 1 purchased just for the trip ] , arrows sitting ready for a hunting trip that i was meant to leave on this morning , I'm writing this from the Net cafe next to a hospital...
After canceling another hunting trip a few months ago due to unforeseen circumstances , i have now inadvertently passed a severe flu to my partner whom now has progressed to getting pneumonia . Came home from interstate late last night to do my final last minute packing to find my other-half drenched in severe sweat and rather unwell.....
I'd say it sux to be me but i have seen some of the other people in the waiting areas and i think they might be in need of real prayers ...
Now trying to contact Ben halfway across the country to tell him I ain't coming after three years of phone calls and promises to take each other hunting ...
still I'll get the ol' girl home quick smart and fling a few cedars across the yard...
had to vent
Ben
Hope your other half is ok Ben! i'm sure the "other" Ben will understand.
Don't worry Mate there will be other hunts to go on! Take good care of the one that's important.
Best,
Ken
thanks lads ...
Just spoke to Ben..a more gracious mate you couldn't find. There was no mention of anything at all aside from "taking care of family" and " and we'll get going again in October "...
Now to the fun stuff of playing nurse...but its all good as she takes damn good care of me even when I'm healthy ...
Mate hope she gets well real soon.
Cheers
Paul
Ben I am so very sorry to hear your life long friend is ill. I'll be praying for a complete and speedy recovery.
I'm also sorry that you didn't get to make your hunt but that doesn't mean it can't be done on a future date.
Not to worry Mate.. I've got you and the wife covered!
Your Humble Servant
God bless,Mudd
PS: Your Rudder longbow is starting to look at home hanging out over there keeping "Vango" and Tembo company...lol I'm thinking he likes the company plus he's surrounded by a bunch of real purty arrows..lol
Hope she gets better soon... Rest, rest and more rest for her. There will always be other trips, take good care of her.

The other and infinately better half is now home safe and on the road to recovery about to watch Australia get flogged in the world cup soccer...
Thanks for the kind words ...
On the bright side ... it's not like Australia is going to run out of wild pigs any time soon.
always next time eh ...
Ben
You take care of what's important, Ben, the rest will follow along.
That is just how life is sometimes. Glad you made the right decision to take care of your wife.
I reconciled the day with fletching up arrows.....
it ain't hunting but its the best i could replace it with. Rather glad to have the family home safe and getting better.
always next year ...
Ain't that right John ? always next year ...
Family first mate, hunting will always be there....
ak.
Prayers sent for you Brother.RC
Mate, we'll save some pigs for you! I got off the phone to the owner, and he said there is still lots of water around, so we'll end-up doing lots of footwork; so, October will be much better - miserablly-hot with many more chances! All the best to your other half in her recovery!
hope she gets well real quick.
Always next year..! Thank you Ben...
What did the Dr. say? How long for her to feel better?
John3
Mate , she's already bossing me round and wanting to get up and about ... Lol
Just glad she's ok ...
Thanks for your concern .
Ben
