I would like to hear from annyone who has a Anneewakee recurve or a Hoots recurve thats going to Comptons. I would like to see one of these bows. If its possible we could meet up some where? I'm going Saturday.
I was looking forward to Annewakee being there but I just talked to John and it sounds like hes very busy and isnt going to make it this year.
Thanks.
Nobody going to Comptons that wants to show off their Anneewakee recurve bow???
Doug, If you don't get ahold one at comptons let me know and i'll see to it you get to shoot one
No better offer than that  !!!!!!!
Lets go Lee, sounds like a road trip!!!
I'm bring my addiction recurve with me to comptons. Would be glad to show it to you. The rabbittman and I will be there fri. am. MIKE
Hootsbow Thanks I might have to take you up on that.
LBOW I would apprieciate seeing that bow. Will you be there on Saturday also?
I know there must be more out there John said he sold some at Kalamazoo this winter.
Thanks Doug
Did you get to shoot one?
Never got to see one or shoot one. It probably saved me some $$$$
That's a shame. It's a fun experience. The little bows are such a surprise in smoothness and punch that it is hard to get them out of your mind after you "try one on for size".
Are you going to be at ATAR, (WV, the second weekend in July), Doug? There'll be a plethora of Annawakee Addictions there, and a number Hootsbows too, I imagine.
ttt
Well I'm saving up the funds for one. I might wait until January and hopefuly get to try one out at the Traditional Expo in Kalamazoo Mi. But I'm tempted to get one before to deer hunt with. I realy would like to shoot one first before I buy.A 54",53-55#@27" would be perfect! :D
Wish I could help you. I really think the Addictions are the ideal hunting "aid", especially for tree stands and/or ground blinds, where space might be limited/restricted. My "Blackie" Addiction is a 54" and 50# @ 28" (though I only pull about 25"), and would be a good one for you to try. Which I would be more than willing to let you do. Howerver, I ain't parting with it long enough for you to do that - unless we are in the same place at the same time - :goldtooth:
Short of some shoot/rendezvous, I guess your best bet is to get in touch whith John Dill (or Lee Hoots).
Thanks for the offer and I dont blame you for not letn go of it. I do almost all of my hunting from the ground. I realy liked the look of the bow Lee called his yellow jacket bow.I have already talked to both guys. So now its just making up my mind and getting the $$$$ lined up.
Tomorrow is my wedding anniversery so I wonder if my wife would like a new bow????
:D
Doug, now thats the spirit. I bought my wife a new chainsaw for our 25th wedding anniversery. Our 26th is comming up and I think she would love a new outboard motor for my john boat. If you ever get to New Bern, NC. look me up and you can shoot my addiction. It's a nice bow for hunting and I have cut a few notches in it. DB
I bought her a motorcycle a couple years ago. I already have 3 chainsaws she can use. This will be our 21st so I think a new bow would be something special she would remember. :D :D :D
Oh she would remember it alright!!!!
LOL
would she like a pink riser on her new addiction Doug???LOL!!
Doug
Lee said he would have 25 to 30 Addictions ready for ATAR (LOL) ;) That would give Lee a heart attack. I hope to have a few for you to see on the web also.
QuoteI think a new bow would be something special she would remember.
LOL Sure would Doug...
:goldtooth:
Cody
PINK!!! :scared: LOL No I think that yellow and black combo would be better for her first one. :D
25-30 bows!!! I guess I better plan on coming to the ATAR. It will take me two days to pick one out!
Hey Doug, when you get one, keep it!
Are you speaking from experience? Dont tell me its true? :saywhat:
You didn't get rid of it did you OWL?????
:( :knothead: :banghead: :deadhorse:
And I've always thought of you as more on the clever and brighter side , owlbait - :goldtooth:
Dang right in my backyard and it got away. Oh well the wife gave told me if I want one of these I better get one comming. I wonder if she would like a new quiver and some arrows for her new bow??? :D ;)
Bernie, not you too. Anyone else want to pile on? I did read that Lee/John were working on some new models. I have already decided to start saving for a phenolic, stippled riser bow, so I will be back!
Ok fellas... I heard Lee got an order of pink actionwood in.... I also have some pink leather die for the quiver hood also.... :D ;) :p
I hope he used it all up on those 25-30 hes building for the ATAR. :D
Gonna have my "Yellow Jacket" there this weekend if you wanna check it out Doug.

Hey Doug, there is one for sale on the classifieds. It is a good one, I know!
Thanks for the offer. This comming week is our county 4H fair so I'm not allowed to leave if I wanted to. :readit: :D Or thats what I was told.Got to get all the animals/projects and family moved in.
Figures that one comes up after I ordered .... I mean my wife ordered a new one already :D :D :D
Which fair are you going to Doug? I used to go to the Berrien Co. fair when I lived up there. Moved to NC and the county fair down here is a 1/10th of the size that I'm used to, but at least we have one I guess.
